I mean, I like Brad I know you’re kind of just regurgitating facts but I subscribe and love the videos. I like when the mechanic gives some technical specs and statistics that makes it fun for me as a mechanic the videos are always entertaining and I like them for the guys are also easy enough to watch and nice.

Agreed. I stick around to help improve the channel. Not sure if I'm helping or not. I like these guys, they're just having trouble thinking outside the box, filling in where the demand is, and keeping the content fresh. I'd much rather wait for a quality video than see a questionable one daily. That might not pay the bills though, so I understand the filler. I just wish there was a little less of it.

I biught an 06 Saturn ion 130 thousand miles for 400 dollars. Still runs great 5 yrs later.

I have a 2019 x5 with the B58. Most reliable car we've ever owned, even compared to my 3 previous Subarus. Better highway mpg than my 86, better offroad than my wrx and more luxurious than my Cayenne S... all while beating every one of them in a drag race, and it was purchased used for the same price as, or less than, a used 4Runner from the same year.

Glad it works for you. The downside of luxury cars is they depreciate so quickly, and that’s because they can be expensive to maintain even if it’s just maintenance without many repairs. I buy my cars new but keep them 8-10 years or more, unless they are lemons. I have a 2024 x5 with the B58, and so far so good.

@@scooter5940 So far, luxury cars, especially the new, reliable BMWs work well for me because I buy them after their big depreciation hit. Got my fully loaded X5 Xdrive w/ bumper to bumper warranty for only a bit over 30k from BMW Sherman Oaks and I live blocks away from BMW Beverly Hills. My wife's friend works there, so whenever something is a concern (which rarely happens) I just take it in and is so far the nicest experience I've had compared to probably every other brand I've owned. Here in the Philippines, Toyota Vios is used as a taxi workhorse and ride hailing service, ever since the inception of the Vios, it is a reliable sedan. Btw we have bad road conditions and traffic. It is also a very good starter car.

I've actually seen an A-Spec RDX running around, and it's pretty awesome-looking. If it were in my budget, I'd have one.

I know someone who had a 2020 A-Spec RDX. She had a ton of issues and couldn't even get it started when she was trying to leave a scary situation. Right out of a horror film type stuff. A Turbo I-4 doesn't replace a V6. There's also little room for power improvement with that powerplant. My wife's 08 MDX is the same size vehicle, with a 3.7L V6 and makes more HP. If I really wanted to, I could rebuild it and tune it to 500-700hp pretty easily. Add to the configuration direct injection and you have a recipe for disaster. The 2024 model includes a 10spd, which tells me Acura/Honda is compensating for that tiny powerplant in such a large vehicle. I see this vehicle as lackluster at best. Acura can and has done better, but all must now bow before the insane climate police. With this vehicle, your PWR is about the same as one made 15yrs ago, but your mechanical and electrical problems have now doubled. Pass. If you really want a modern turbo I-4 from Honda/Acura, I would look at the 2024 Integra Type-S. It has the same engine as the RDX A-Spec, but was retuned for 320hp over the 272hp in the RDX. More HP, less weight = more smiles per galon. The MSRP is also slightly less than a 24' RDX A-Spec. Happy hunting Cheers.

I would like to know how CR knows the reliability of Mazda CX-90? It's only being out for a few months. Or is this one of those initial quality where people complain about wind noises, infotainment boot up time and scuff marks?

Great video! However I highly disagree with any Kia being on this list. They have had countless lawsuits and recalls. Very unreliable even though they are beautiful vehicle. I have had 2 brand new luxury kias, and when they bought the dust they really go!

Camry looses its V6 for the 2025 model year after nearly 4 decades of having it as an option the first year Camry had a V6 option was 1988 which was also the first year Camry sold more than 200,000 units in the US and from the late 90s to late 2000s and some years after that it sold more than 400,000 units per year in the US and thus far has sold a total of 13,63 million units in the US in slightly more than 40 yrs. of production

The rav4 has an e-cvt which is completely different to the band type. Very simple and clever and very very reliable. A set of planetary gears to move power from the ice and the electric motor.

I managed to watch 6min before I gave up. *sigh* Glorified 2024 car commercial. As though YT didn't give us enough of those already. Did Brad end the video by saying "The Power of Dreams"? That would be funny. I don't know how these "reliability scores" were even derived. It's like a wine tasting contest with grapes. These are just predictions based on what? The zero miles these cars have? Polymer to metal ratio? How was reliability gauged on something brand new? Even if you put 100k mi on any of them, all the polymers are still less than 1yr old. Maybe we can compare them for corrosion resistance in the salt belt. But those of us who live in the south care less about that statistic. Now if you want to start gauging cars with high milage against their maintenance needs, I can track with that. The 2000 Alero and the Camry could use some love, not to mention all the Crown Vic based cars (Marauder, Grand Marquis, Towncar). There's also troopers like the 95' Buick Regal. A list like that is what I was hoping for with this vid. Sadly, it's not what I received. Waiter, I'd like a refund. I could only eat half my steak. It's just not very good. Until my next critique, Cheers.
