If i were there, i wouldn’t be very polite. My own parents criticized my body and boobs too and let me tell you, it really hurt. It would make me feel helpless and ugly and apologetic for my body. But underlying reality is, it is perverse, and often you could turn around and tell them what surgery they needed because chances are, your parents aren’t models themselves, and even if they were, models aren’t the most beautiful in everyone’s eyes. People who don’t want to hurt others, don’t respond or comment, but people who want to hurt others, feel they are entitled to making you feel inadequate. For the longest time i would fantasize about getting big boobs, today, i wouldn’t want to have them big because i understand how i would be buying into societies image of what they think is attractive, and that would put me at a place that’s not unique and much like others, i don’t want to die knowing i did something to fit an image and a stereotype, that personally makes me feel mentally weak. No one gets to tell you what surgery you should have, no one gets to tell you what’s wrong with what you’re born with. I dislike when people consider big breasts as a ‘blessed’ chest. All chest sizes no matter what isn’t blessed, it’s just there and natural. Blessed is when you have a good family, friends, mental happiness, blessed isn’t when you have extra fat in a place society thinks is ALL THAT. I would go ham on these parents if i were there, i wouldn’t be nice at all.

My mother tried to comment on my figure once when I was 13. I did not hold back. Granted, she grounded me for talking back and yelling at her in public, but she never commented on my body negatively again. I’m 24 now, and I regret nothing I said that day.

I am reading these as a small chest women and I am crying. U don’t want small that what everyone points out and you don’t even feel like a women, you just feel horrible about ur self. I do so many things to make myself look pretty and to fit beauty standards that I just hate my body at a young age. That I do more stuff to impress people (bc that’s what it seems they want) then I do to feel good about myself. I was very small too but after breast cancer surgery I truly appreciate what I have left. Don’t risk your health with unnecessary surgery. Value what you have, big or small. By talking about her having competition is a parent turning their own daughter into a sex object - it should be the last thing you want your daughter valued for.
