God bless you, Mother Dolores, because you understood Elvis's soul and frustrations. You were not afraid of saying "God is the bigger Elvis". It's wonderful to see that the Catholic News Service posts videos about Elvis! His faith was deep and strong.

Loved watching you in the movies and have a couple of them. You were so beautiful Elvis always said that Jesus Christ was the KING. He was my 10th cousin

What a sweet lady...she tells the truth and speaks from her heart. She had the privilege to know him personally and she knows what Elvis ached for. To be a serious actor...to be given challenging roles to play... to prove to the world that he was much more than just a pretty face that could sing. He was NEVER given that chance. Sadly, he sunk into depression and into a world of drugs and he knew no other way out but through death... the world lost the greatest entertainer that has lived. We miss you Elvis...we just hope you have finally found peace....

William F. Buckley was a big fan of Elvis, and commented on the beauty of his voice. Which was never properly developed. They never let him develop as an actor or as a singer either. Steve Allen, a talented musician as well as a comedian was harshly criticized for reflected on the poor quality of his body of work as a whole. In his film work one can see flashes of what he might have been able to do. Likewise in his music. But so much potential wasted.

Thank you for saying that. Elvis wanted to be a serious actor. Elvis could have done so much more. He had told Larry Geller that - what he wanted to do. But then he died. He was so generous and he didn’t broadcast it. The Bible says not too.

Elvis was at his best as a man and singer in 1968: look at him singing, If I can dream, in his December 1968 tv special. Sadly after that, he went down.

She is totally right. I often wonder what other things he could have done as an actor. We know today's stars dabble in both. Music and acting. Things were different back then. His death still bothers me, too young to die like he did.

Hollywood is such a vile place, soul robbing industry!! if only there was an alternative to nurture talent like Elvis's . He would have got the parts he deserved and not limited to these cheesy pathetic musicals that he hated doing .Such a shame! I can imagine he would have been in the greats category of actors if given the chance! They robbed him!

He had such potential too and it was wasted. I also think he would've lived longer and had a more meaningful and healthier lifestyle if he was given good parts

Thanks to Tom Parker, Elvis' manager, he put him in a series of lousy movies just to get his cut of the fee. Parker had a serious gambling problem.

I think she’s right. I don’t think that Elvis was driven by the money at all unless it meant he’d have more money to help other’s with. He would have been happier feeling what he was doing was more meaningful. He was offered the co-starting part in a Star is born and the Colonel shot it down I understand.

What Mother Dolores said about Elvis and his career and life is so so true. She knew Elvis very well. They were friends.

Wow, I have not thought about her since the late 50's or early 60's. Not sure exactly. No one could believe she gave up her earthly fame & fortune as movie star to become a nun, a 'sister'... & look at her now, having achieved 'Mother'. I too, wanted to be a nun... '63-'64 but could not give up so much. And she is still so pretty too. Elvis had his pick of many hundreds of girls, had it all, yet was empty. & knowing it was something only our REAL Savior could fill. Delores also had it all & EVEN ELVIS! ... she also knew these things were not enough for her. She found her greatest joy & peace in serving God. I don't know if she is still alive, but there they both are surely 'resting in God'.

What human can hold a stick to our Lord Jesus Christ, Truly Present on His Throne in His Temples on Earth? Speaking about Elvis is only a tongue gained a demon, morose most. Dead of the human heart most. Only our LORD is to be ADORED. No false gods of Earth. i the demon testifying now to all. [Mother] Dolores Hart repent and turn to HIM only. Amen. Alleluia. i ain't holy but i do know a LIE when i sense one. Hint find Heaven. And no one is guaranteed Heaven. Show me in Scripture or HIS Church where this is stated.

As God created all he showed how he created unequaled talent as he expects us to develop ours, our gift. For a time a lost sheep, strayed from the path, but always promoted love of God.
