I saw them live in Canada half a dozen times and they always put on an amazing performance. Mother Mother is actually doing really, really well in Canada. Their tickets always sell out fast.

I was honestly feeling like shit these past weeks, not knowing what to do with my life and listening to this song feels so good, it's not a gentle "everything will be ok uwu" but a "you want that? Well get up your ass and work for it, you'll get there eventually". Also "I'd love to give you wings but babe you've got to grow them" kinda maybe made me tear up a little :')

Man, this video reminds me of when my daughter, who was 10 at the time and I think is going to grow up to look like Syd Lazzara, was at the local recreation center pool and she was having fun just jumping in from the floor level but she was eyeballing and eyeballing that diving board. She said she wanted to jump from it into the 13' of water and she asked me and my wife if we'd let her do it. She wasn't a strong swimmer but could doggy padal fine so we told her if she was gonna go for it, put a life vest on in which she did. She climbed up to the diving board which was 8' above the water and looked just like Syd did in this video. Fear, apprehension, intrigue. We cheered her on for 20 minutes but she wouldn't go so we all agreed to just shut our pie holes and just let her eyeball it, make the run and abort the jump at the last second. After 30 minutes, she finally went for it and she went for maximum forward distance and in she went, down she went and right back up she came with a smile from ear to ear. She got out yelling with sheer GLEE as she ran into my arms and she made a bee line back to the diving board and we could not get her to stop after that until she was just too tired to keep jumping. I lost count at 20. My daughter is now 13 and she is the one who introduced me to this band and song because she found them on TikTok. She'd never seen this video before until tonight and we both reminisced that triumphant day! I know, foolish story for you all to read but I hoped maybe the band may see this story and it would make them smile a bit !

veritaseros yeah it sucked as they lost out on fans. If you look at my channel 'Reaper Man' has 882k views alone, views that should have been theirs. I'm sure it's not the band though but the publisher. Thankfully any views I do get are claimed by the band anyway, just nice that people can enjoy them. :)

That little smile at the end made me cry shdhdgsid It's so hard to do anything for me. Like,,, I'm putting off writing an essay I was supposed to have done by yesterday and I don't revise for exams and I don't do the homework I need to do for my coursework bc I'm afraid that even if I put in the effort I'll still fail and then I will have been right,that I actually am a stupid lazy idiot who's better off dead. At least if I don't put in the effort I can blame that. It's bad and I know that, I know I need to change but I'm so so scared. I keep this song in mind bc I really want to change it's just seemingly impossible and I'm too scared and depressed to do anything.

The direction of this was super creative! Like opening with the bike, then seeing its shadow at the end. The angles, the effects, the actress, and the band were all fun to watch!!

Recuerdo el día que estrenaron esta cancion, decia "hace 14h"... En ese entonces estaba pasando una crisis en mi vida y está canción me dio la motivación de seguir levantándome de la cama y seguir... Ahora veo de nuevo la fecha y dice "hace 5 años"... Esto me hace pensar : Fue y sigue siendo mi canción favorita.
