I was terrified back in the day when that first happened to me as I accidentaly bumped into the bootleg cartridge of Mario 64 I had. The glitched sound effects, Mario's contorted body lying down, clipping through the floor as he walked inside the ground, and the fact that my bootleg cartridge didn't save the game (which meant that I had to restart the WHOLE game if it freezed) were mind boggling!
