Helps a whole lot. Tap squared is definitely easier to remember than (Erv/Efv) squared.

You bet! There's so many different ways with these to calculate to get the right answer. Just trying to find the simplest one!

@@ZackHartle A while back, you posted a video that mentioned, and I’m paraphrasing, the resistance of the rotor is constant, the reactance of the rotor is not constant (varies with slip), maximum torque is obtained at .707 power factor, etc. etc. I’m finally going over the 10 equations that relate Torque at start, max and full load. After 47 years of being alive, I have finally seen the equations that elaborate on the “ AC induction motor torque varies directly with the square of the voltage” and now I know why the test prep courses would avoid teaching those 10 equations. So many different subs, Tfl, Tmax, Tstart, Irss, Irmt, etc. I guess my past instructors felt they would leave me confused so they never showed them at all. If it wasn’t for that video you put out there, I would be trying to memorize all those equations without understanding them. Thanks to you, they’re easy to remember.

Hey Zack! I’m A Jman up in Edmonton, just got my ticket this spring. I’m wondering if there is a way to get a PDF version all my modules from Period 1 through 4... All my past instructors were not able to answer that question for me. I have folders and Information that I’m able to reference at anytime as they are stored on my Google Drive. It would be amazing to be able to also reference all my Modules the same way! I have no issues purchasing them all again if it means I can get PDF versions of them! I saw that you work at SAIT so i figured id go to the source, as all the Mods NAIT uses have SAIT badges on the back.
