I didn't want to like this thing...I wanted to pick on it because it's from China. I was very surprised to see how well it works!

Their all made in china. Even the ones with a name. So you would just be paying twice the amount for the same thing just with a name on it. It’s a good buy. Thanks for the vid.

I use a cordless drill and a socket.these things are really useful. I jacked up a car and put the donut on. I recommend one of these or something similar.
@OlSkool0012 жыл бұрын
You can put a piece of wood under the side stand to level the bike. That way you can be off the bike and align the jack easier.

I have 2 of these. It’s a must have. They are useful for all kinds of tasks around the garage. Sometimes you have to put some wood on it if the engine protrudes below the frame.

Great! I got the same jack and never use it since my bike is 830 lbs or so. You showed an easy way to handle it. I will have to invest in the long handle ratchet, though. Thank you so much for your video.

Thanks for the review. One thing I would keep in mind is that when the Chinese made jack says it's rated for 1100lbs it's probably more like 800lbs. They can put any rating on the product to sell it. If you have a bike over 800 lbs don't chance an injury or bike damage when something shears. Also, you could use a long pipe as an extension on your ratchet handle. Cheers.

I bought 2 of these for the odd job on my Vulcan Voyager . I crank it up & down with a Hilti 14.4v rattle gun . Works good too .

Yesterday I built my own from wood. Got the idea on KZfaq and it worked perfectly on my dr 650 which has an eleven inch + ground clearance. I used scrap wood pieces I had around the property....so cheap, cheap.

Yep great video. Just got one with a rolling tray for about 100 on Prime. I'm with you about jacking it up so high. Works great for wheel/tire maint. etc...Thanks for the tips.

I lift my moped by modified car scissor jack, under center stand. Its 4" height need couple of stairs for climb to on it by "lean and rotate" style. It work with this size bike.

Little jack is better for me. I was considering the floor jack from harbor freight, but it looks big. Very good.

its not about made in China or not, its about how much you are willing to pay. There are many good quality made in China out there, people just don't want to pay that high price because its made in China. I think the Chinese made stuffs are easily the most cost-effective items.
@freefree2021 Жыл бұрын
Agreed, People shouldn't be so quick to blame China, if you're mad about a cheap made in china item blame the US company that contracted with China to make it for them. China will make you an expensive quality product or you can choose from our "affordable line-up". Guess what the US company is going to go with......Yes the cheapest one they offer! DJI Drones, Wireless Mics and Cameras are some of the best items out there and all made in China. Thanks for your comment!

Word. Basically everything is made in China (good job world, gave away our tech, jobs and money) but that old idea of it being shitty because it's made in China is hard for society/mass psyche to adjust. I believe it was similar after WW2 and people thought stuff made in Japan was crap because it was from the axis and they made a lot of knock off stuff which was actually pretty damn good ie: guitars. Japan sure showed everyone when they started making cars and bikes though.

I'd argue that tools made in Taiwan are the most cost effective, literally the same cost as those made in China but noticeably better fit and finish. Next time you're at Harbor Freight look at a ratchet made in China vs Taiwan and compare them, HF sources the same tools from factories in both countries.
