Ozzy sounds like a true MADMAN on this album, and i love what Brad Gillis does with the Sabbath material. Always got goosebumps when Ozzy yells "HEEEYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!" to the audience, while Gillis is tearing into the solo on "Sabbath bloody Sabbath."

The version of Fairies wear Boots on Speak of the devil, is my absolute favorite version of that song… it fuckin smokes!!!!

No sleep til Hammersmith for me. One of the best live albums in metal/hardrock. I wish it would have been a double live album though.

To be honest I’ve never listened to No Sleep but I have heard both nights of Speak of the Devil. A friend of mine gave me cds of both nights of Speak. When I work tonight, I am giving No Sleep a listen. Ralph, you have never steered me wrong

Brad Gillis rules

No Sleep Till Hammersmith is my favorite live album of all time. It was my first introduction to harder music back in 1984. My sister's boyfriend had a stack of records: Maiden, Saxon, Sabbath (first time I heard Sabotage), and No Sleep. Best release that showcases the real Motorhead's loud Rock N Roll. Fast Eddie Clarke was incomparable. No Fast Eddie, No Motorhead. Besides Robbo on guitar on the Another Perfect Day album (which kicks ass), I never listen to the phil campbell / wurzel stuff. It's just not the same. All I have on my iPod are the first Motorhead album, pre-classic lineup w/Larry Wallis on guitar, all the Fast Eddie albums, and Another Perfect Day w/Robbo on guitar. From Orgasmatron to the last album, it's not Motorhead. It's Lemmy with employees. Think of KISS without Ace and Peter, with the "employees" wearing the Spaceman/Catman get ups. On the Speak of the Devil, I remember buying the VHS a long time ago, and it was pre-recorded vocals on it. Ozzy's mic was on so you can hear him constantly with the "Come on!" "Alright!"... But then when the vocals started, clearly there was a pre-recorded vocals that was being used. I don't listen to that album because of that. To me that's not cool how they did that. My final score is Motorhead winning by clean sweep.

Speak of the devil was my introduction to Ozzy Osbourne and metal in general and I loved it immediately and still love it no matter what Ozzy says

I wore that motörhead album out !!!!! In my top 5 live albums of all time !!! Every song rules !! Love me some Ozzy, ...but I have got to give this one to Lemmy & Co.

It staggers me that people still think No Sleep was recorded at Hammersmith. It even says on the back of the sleeve "recorded at Newcastle City Hall (I was there), and Leeds Queens Hall". Awesome album.

Speak of the devil is my 3rd favorite Ozzy solo, albums. I absolutely loved that album. I wish someone would re-produce those old Sabbath album to that quality. But then again, Iommi's tone is always Metal, madness. But who doesn't love "Motorhead? But again, That Ozzy album wins.

Speak of the Devil all the way! Sabbath is my favorite band, love the versions on Speak, don’t care if it’s not “live”, and it wins for me. Not as big of a Motörhead fan, but I appreciate what they did.

Brad Gillis’s playing addded a lot to the songs his whammy bar tricks are the best Rudy played very well too but gotta go with Motörhead!!!!

I love both but Speak.. just is an album that absolutely rules though the circumstances it was made under shouldn’t. Sacrilege I know, but I prefer it to Live Evil. Ozzy sounds unhinged in a good way and Gillis is a monster player

Im gonna do with Motörhead on this one. I don’t get the Ozzy one. I like Brad Gillis as a guitar player. Not to mention you have one of the greatest rhythm sections in history of heavy rock in Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge. However, the album is so off putting. The idea of Having them just completely revamp these song with the Van Halen sheen to them is just weird to me. The album has propably Brad Gillis best guitar moments ever, but it’s off putting cause this is not how these songs are suppose to be played

Never been a fan of Speak, if i want live Sabbath songs its definately not Brad Gillis on guitar i want.

Hi Ralph hope your ok, these two albums are fucking class No sleep i got for my 13th birthday back in 1985 on tape got it on vinyl not long after then the expanded version on cd. in England Speak of the Devil is known as Talk Of The Devil. I have to say The Hammer kills its my favourite Motorhead track, in Newcastle England Motorhead are known as 'Motorheed' lol
