I am forever grateful for this video. I was going to buy that Harbor Freight tool and change my Cub Cadet tires myself. Nope not going to do that after seeing you do this. Your a big man and it wore you out pretty good. I'm 71 and I'm taking them to a tire shop. Thanks again Sir.

When you start to put the tire back on you need to use a small vice-grip, put it on the rim so the tire is below the vice-grip. That way the tire will not be able to pop back above the rim. I would also say the tire needs to be pushed down below the upper rim to give you a little more slack. This works for me. Hope it helps.

You had the red bead breaker handle facing backwards, those bumps on the handle are for finger grip. Plus it makes the angle of the breaker plate align more appropriately for applying leverage.

Use a clamp and squeeze the tire this will move it more to the middle and give yourself more room to get to get that last bead on. I use a log splitter to break the tire down and squeeze it together on install .

Got to admit glad to see the pain on someone else's plate...I've been thru it too. I threw it in the dumpster but went back next day and got it out. 😊 took it to tire shop. Gotta give you credit you stuck with it.

Your rim was loose the entire time. It is no wonder you had such a difficult time.

It's called a mini tire changer that terrier trying to take apart there is not a mini it's a small tire not a mini tire that tire needs to be on a big tire machine like your car tire machine

The problem with these wide tires is that it is nearly impossible to get the bead to sit in the deep part of the rim where it can allow the bead to be pulled over the rim on the other side. Part of his struggle at @

They work fine on the small front tires but they are now worth a damn on those large back tires. I owned a lawnmower shop for 47 years too. Those large tires like that I always took them to a tire shop. I had the exact same trouble as Christian did. Took me 3.30 minutes to take just one tire off of one rim. 6/28/2022. The tool just is not heavy duty enough for those large heavy tires. I got to give it to you , you are one tough man. I started to pour some gasoline on mine and burn it to hell.

Did that a couple years ago on my '97 tractor with the original front tires only without the changer. After 48 years in a semi myself you would think I would know better. Spent longer then this with spoons. I ended up using my 12 ton press to break the beads. Was really surprised how thin the rims are. I'm getting the HF larger tire changer soon as I finally found the right size tires for the tractor so have to do it all over again. My tractor is 4 wheel drive so I have to keep the same size over all diameter.

The mini tire changer is good for tires up to 12 inches in diameter. It looks like yours might be larger than that. May do better with a full size tire changer?

The 5/8" allthread is ridiculously weak, ive seen sevral of these and all of them show that as the weak link, almost all the metal is soft steel, a ducktail i think its called would be better at putting tires back on the rim, the ag tires are a lot stiffer mine came via amazon

Put the tire changer on the ground. You will have a lot more leverage. Also tighten up the clamp on the tire more.
