Beca couldn’t leave her sisters out of one last performance and having them on stage together meant a lot to her. This scene meant something special to each of the cast and seeing them hugging each other one last time before saying, I’m presuming, “see you later” speaks volumes, even if it’s over video calls or something.

I literally tear up every time she says “I won’t let you down” and then at the end, you can see Rebel Wilson (Amy) basically crying because they have come so far together in three movies. They’re literally a family and this song was just such a powerful way to end off the trilogy.

Billy Breeze that’s wrong. That’s EXACTLY what she is saying. She IS giving them Up for a solo career but she will never give up their friendships or forget them for all they have done for her. It’s why the end pose is so monumental.... the Bellas in the background and she is up front all alone.. they are letting her go and she is flying the nest and doing her own thing. They are giving her their blessing by signing this song!

You may be correct but I always thought that she was giving them up for a solo career. Obviously they are staying as best friends and may still sing together just for fun but I think that’s why she pulled them up onto the stage so that she could share her last performance with them. I think that’s why she sang the song freedom? Good point though 👍 x

Probably because it was originally just Beca's solo performance? No one knew to call the other ladies up on stage but Beca herself. You can see how they were surprised when she called them up on stage. The musicians also wouldn't stop playing just for them to sing acapella unless they're given instructions to.

That last scene was so powerful that I cried my eyes out when Becca said “I will not let you down, I will not give you up” with tears in her eyes. They can’t be together forever since that’s life but their friendship will stay strong through the years and the Bellas would always be together in their memories 😭😭

What I love most about this song choice is that in the earlier scene where they just got out of the water, all the Bellas recognize that they don't NEED to be together even though they're a family. And then Freedom has the line "I don't belong to you/ and you don't belong to me" as a celebration. (I cry every time.)

I mean i really love the music but they already butchered the third movie. The plot was sometimes dumb and unnecessary and less would've been better. But yeah, the ending is beautiful!

I love the Bellas' performances, the powerful messages they convey, how they're just like family especially with new additions to their group and their amazing friendship/loyalty to each other!! In this performance, Beca has a microphone, none of the other girls have any (unless they're have clipped little ones) and we can hear them all perfectly! Beautiful performance like always! Love this!! Although missing Stacy and the Boys' group! Pitch Perfect 4 please!!

this rendition makes me so emotional for a lot of reasons. I remember this movie came out during high-school for me, and I had always envisioned myself listening to this song as soon as I had graduated. Covid took that experience away from me, and now a Sophomore in college and I am anxiously waiting for my graduation moment. I'll play this song for sure.

Pitch Perfect Theory: their Final Performance is related to the character backstory of the Movie ..... 1 - The first movie was all about Beca and she just wants to produce music by remixing music and creating mash ups and their final performance is a mashed up song ..... 2 - The second movie focuses on Emily and how she is a legacy, the movie final performance was Old generations of Bellas singing Flashlight which is related on how Emily's mom became her FLASHLIGHT on being a Bella and a Legacy ..... 3 - The last movie is about Fat Amy and how she wants to be independent and ran away, guess what? their final performance is named "Freedom" and freedom is all Amy wanted!
