@@MovieFusion Apparently the showrunners gave him a cameo because Arya's actress is a HUGE Ed Sheeran fan in real life, and they wanted to surprise her. So she didn't know Ed was going to be in the scene until she showed up on set to film for the day. She was delighted and starstruck. :)

About Arya's face thing, the act of changing the face in the books was described with more details, its basically magic, from her prespective her hands looks the same like her hands.. and her teath would feel like her teeth too, but others will see different hands and broken teeth.

Fun fact: GoT had a few musicians in it. The Red Wedding, the band playing the Lannister tune, was Coldplay. A few members of the band Mastadon played white walkers. The guy who plays Bronn was a British pop star in the 80s.

Jerome Flynn kinda was a pop star during the mid 90's, he was an actor first who appeared in a very popular show called Soldier, Soldier and there was a scene with him and a co-star Robson Greene where they stepped in to replace the entertainment at a friends wedding performing as The Unrighteous Brothers. It proved hugely successful that Simon Cowell convinced them to record the song , Unchained Melody. It spent 7 weeks at Number 1 and was the biggest selling single of the year. They then released 2 more singles that made them the 1st act in UK Chart history to have their 1st 3 songs go straight to Number 1. After two Number 1 albums they both quit the music industry, Jerome Flynn pretty much disappeared from acting until GoT.

I like how you asked did Ned have to lie to Catelyn and it’s followed up with Jamie taunting Cat asking how could she not hate the “bastard” that the honorable Ned Stark brought back home with him? That is exactly why he had to lie to her. She wouldn’t have resented Jon had she known the truth. To truly protect him the world had to believe Ned’s lie and I think Cat not being resentful would’ve been a huge give away to the viability of Ned’s story.

Yeah, this part of the story I've always had issue with and I just chalk it up to the fact that when writing that part of his books GRRM didn't know who Jon was going to be yet, and it could have genuinely been Neds bastard son; because otherwise, after what, 17(?) years, there's no reason why he wouldn't have eventually told Cat the truth.

I always thought that the reason Arya's face saddened when she was talking to the soldiers was because the soldier had just said that he hoped his new baby was a girl because girls took care of their fathers when they got older and she still hurt from the fact that she hadn't been able to protect or take care of hers (Ned). I also feel that the reason Ned never told the truth about Jon's birth was because Jon's father was a Targaryen and everyone, especially Robert Barathen, would have wanted him dead...

When you asked about why ned didnt tell cat about jon, ned and cat were an arranged marriage, she was supposed to marry his brother. by the time the war ended they barely met a handful of times. Nowhere near enough to build the trust requiered to put the life of his sisters son in her hands.

These are more than simple leather masks. The wearer drinks a tart-flavored potion and their face is cut, causing blood to stream over their features; when the new face is applied, it is moistened by the blood, becoming soft and supple. The magic causes the wearer to look exactly like the original person's appearance, including broken teeth or other injuries. (Though they themselves cannot tell the difference, sensing only their own face and features.) When the face is first applied, the wearer may experience some of the memories of the dead person, and may dream those memories as nightmares

The face-changing thing does change your size, voice etc - or at least other people's perception of them. Unfortunately we never saw Arya learn this magic. We saw the consequences of her using a face without training, but never her learning to do it properly. All we saw her learn in Braavos was fighting. Quite how she performs this magic with such mastery is beyond me. At least we can look forward to her using this ability in the wars to come.

I love how you kept saying how much the soldier @ 20:11 looked like Ed Sheeran. I only recognized him (in Lannister armor) because he entered the show singing. Dead giveaway for me (I'm a musician or probably wouldn't even have known him if I heard his name). Turns out that Maisie Williams is a huge fan and, at this point in the show, Sheeran was a big enough fan of hers that he was thrilled to accept the cameo when it was offered.

There's a scene where Jaqen drinks poison but Arya gets blind, it makes no sense. She washes corpses and trains with a staff, somehow this makes her a girl boss ninja master assassin with swords and daggers, even though she hasn't trained with such since hiding needle. The mechanisms of wearing faces always change, don't you remember that one time she was going through Jaqen's faces like a flip book, even seeing her own face?

Your R + L =J reaction was kinda underwhelming. There's a lot of nuance about Ned's character revealed. Why was he so against murdering Daenerys, why he wanted to save Cersei's children by warning her.... because he was raising a Targaryen. He couldn't even tell Jon before he was a man of the Nights watch, because only then he would not be a threat to Robert (like maester Aemon, who had refused the throne years ago anyway).

Have you not read the books? George RR Martin in the books actually explains in a grounded and realistic way how the faces and faceless men work. And it’s not at all like how it’s stupidly portrayed in the show. His complained is fair and valid. It’s a fantasy show but George wrote it in a highly grounded way, and the show runners choice of how to portray that as if it was a mask that anyone could put on and it changed your entire appearance like magic, was so disappointing and caused a lot of people to be taken out of the show and balk at the logic. All they had to do was follow what George writes in the books in regards to how it works and how to build yourself up to be a faceless person.

I hate how people think Sansa is like Cersei just bc she’s become colder in these later season (who can blame her). I think the scene between Sansa and Jon is more about how she finally feels safe/secure enough to speak out and stand up for not only herself but her beliefs and the North. Her ability to voice her opinion and express how she truly feels is something that has been stripped away from her for many many seasons and now Sansa is no longer being held back in that regard.

@@kermitthefrog592 I didn’t say she’s like Cersei, but she was clearly doing what Cersei would have done. All the way down to speaking out of turn in the throne room. It was the first time she had seen it not work because her only political influences had been Cersei and Littlefinger, two people who in her mind were winning the Game of Thrones. That doesn’t discount anything she went through, but multiple times she she chose to undermine Jon. It’s Sansa choosing to play the game like Cersei that is stuck up and self righteous (traits Cersei shares with Sansa) like she was when she lied for Joffrey and betrayed her younger sibling, something Cersei also would have done to her younger sibling. Sansa no becoming Cersei is Sansa ring Sansa, Sansa finding out she can’t ACT like Cersei is a part of the game she didn’t expect. Also why she she warns Jon about not ending up like Ned and Robb. In her mind Cersei’s game beats Ned’s. Sansa has been LIKE Cersei the entire time, she starts to ACT like Cersei as she gets older, but she never BECOMES Cersei.
@Grizzly_6623
@Grizzly_6623 Жыл бұрын
@@abtiebeidkdbbeienoehh4866 I mean that’s a really nice thought, but we both know Littlefinger had already seeded or reinforced the thought that Sansa should be leading the north. We see both their reactions when Jon is proclaimed King of the North later that night. She then, in this case, shows open opposition to Jon (as he calls her out for) and calls for the death of children and the installation of current loyalists over ancient families in their seats. Something that Cersei would have done. We saw Cersei sow seeds of dissent constantly when she couldn’t control who was in power. Sansa is not Cersei, but she learned to play the game from her. Her attempting to play that game with Jon, a game where Littlefinger knows the outcome, is self righteous and stuck up. Their moment afterwards is less so but it takes Jon talking her down, giving her the “everything after the word but is horseshit” speech, for her to stop trying to get one over on him.

@@Grizzly_6623 It's so annoying that Sansa never faces the consequences for withholding vital information about the Vale, letting Jon and company do all the fighting and takes credit in the end, she also fails to do basic things like honoring the dead (like the candle woman at the Dreadfort, maester Luwin and Ser Rodrick), they don't even have a ceremony for Rickon.

I hate sansa this season. What she is doing questioning jon infront of his men can lead to borderline mutiny

Episodes last longer in S7 and S8.,.....first 2 are just to prepare the Season and show where characters are (Dany arrived, Jorah in Oldtown, Arya traveling etc etc)....From 7x3 to the end i loved each episode, and they are very different from each other (battles, dialogues, meetings, revelations..)

I like the way Sansa talks about blaming traitors’ children when she defended herself as having nothing to do with Rob’s war when Joeffrey was having her beaten by Meryn Trent in S2. Can’t stand show Sansa.

As AWFUL as the Samwell scenes were with him gathering and cleaning the chamber-pots, the whole time they were filming this the entire rest of the cast were in LA to receive Emmy awards... salt in the wound, I'd say. 🤷‍♀️

The whole Arya face changing thing…is wack in the show. It’s not supposed to be a mask that you can put in and then magically your voice, height and skin color changes. The books actually go into detail in how it works. George RR Martin partly explains it (books are still being written and he just explained it in the last book). The show did a horribly lazy job with the faceless stuff

Sorry you feel that way. I had to cut it up to avoid copyright issues (especially because this video already had to go through multiple re-edits due to that particular part of the video being detected a few times). My reactions are as honest as can be, I did notice that Maester Aemon line with Jon walking in, just didn't have much to say about it cuz there were so many cool details/hints I was trying to take in at once.

Now I feel like a dick. I’ve watched your channel for a while. Your Walking Dead content is where I started. I’ve always enjoyed your output, especially the Game of Thrones reactions. I guess I’m spoiled with all the other reactions I’ve seen, I forget there are actually very good reasons the video is formatted the way it is. So like Thanos “Perhaps I treated you too harshly”

If you didn't quite pay attention to the show, watching the homemade video makes sense. But you're making $ in reacting to the show, it's your job to know what's going on. That's the whole point of reacting & regurgitating what you learned in every episode. For you, It's pointless to watch a homemade video, as you are making yourself seem like a none casual, you're paying attention. There are hundreds of homemade videos on GOT. This is the one, that all the newbies that didn't quite pay attention to the show, always suggest. Dozens of original (The ones that reacted to the show as it first aired & must of watched each episode a half a dozen times between seasons) reactors got by & understood who was what, without any aid videos. Their antennas were way up way before all the Johnny Come Latelys who discovered the show WAY AFTER THE FACT, those who didn't quite have the same enthusiasm to watch the show while it was airing for 9 years. They all needed this aid video, to shed light on things because they were casuals for the most part, who binged watched the show, many, while being distracted with other things around them. At least give us a heads up in your video title, so we can avoid any cringe homemade video before ambushing us, as most reactors do. Just because a Patreon member of yours suggested it, it doesn't necessarily mean you need to watch it. You're already an engineer, you don't need to brush up on 4th grade addition & subtraction.

The section of the video where he reacts to it is timestamped out, and he did give plenty of notice he was going to react to it. You could have just skipped it easily.

I'm confused as to why you seem mad about the fact that I watched a youtube video lmaoo, there's a very easy way to skip ahead to the main episode reaction, I had it timestamped for everyone. A LOT of people were asking me to watch it for a reaction, and I understand why. It's a really cool way to see all the hints from prior episodes that obviously most people wouldn't have assumed meant Jon was a Targaryen all the way back then (I'm sure some guessed it but not everyone). The video isn't explaining anything to me anyways, it's literally just clips from the old seasons, I would've seen those by rewatching regardless, people just wanted to see my reaction to it is all.

@@MovieFusion The point is, most people don't care to watch it. Make a separate video like all reactors do, so the majority can avoid it & yes, I spent a few extra seconds avoiding it. Did you really need a refresher course & react to the same stuff you had already reacted to? You're watching 2 videos a week & regurgitating what you learned in your reaction on every episode & then you edit each video, watching the episode for the 2nd time. It's not like you're waiting a year between seasons & needed some refreshing, like when the show was airing. The die hard GOT fans that gravitated to the show in the 9 years it was airing, watched the show because they had an inkling they may like it & then later, because it was in their blood. Most watched each episode repeatedly. They watch you, because they still have it in their blood & want to see another fresh face to GOT, that's why you have a large audience in GOT specific videos, not by accident. The video was made by a GOT die hard, as many other GOT fan videos are made. It got pushed & continues to be pushed by just about every casual newbie that started watching the show after the show had already ended. They all don't seem to understand, that when you already get what is going on, it is not necessary to watch the refresher course video, let alone to do a reaction video to it, on top of it. Would you do a reaction to it, if you didn't get any favorable monetary benefit to it? I mean, you don't happen to watch refresher course videos on every scene Arya was in, Jon was in, Cersei was in, etc etc etc. So, why here? Because it was a good aid for a casual? Why break out with a calculator, if you already know the exact change you're suppose to get back? It's your channel you do as you want, it would be nice that you warn us in your title. Up to 4:38, I'm reacting to someone's homemade video. To me, it's like someone, by himself, is doing a reaction to GOT episodes for a SECOND TIME! "Thanks for visiting my Channel, I already watched all the GOT episodes, but I am now doing a reaction to watching the episodes for a 2nd time." Hilarious! I have yet to see this on KZfaq. I'm sure some casuals will join & watch. I still enjoy your reactions, though.

@@Steve-eh4db You know what's funny, we can actually check those stats in our KZfaq analytics, and on that specific video, actually more than half of those who clicked on the video, watched through the entire R + J video. So you are wrong. Regardless, to those who don't want to watch it, it quite literally takes 1 second out of your day to click ahead lol. I'm sorry but I just don't understand your criticism in like anyway at all because it sounds like you are making up problems that don't exist. Which you are welcome to do here, but I'm also gonna argue against it lmaoo It's like an 8 minute video that didn't take much out of my day, only wanted to do it because so many people asked.
