Thanks for the video Dana! I was looking at making the move to ND from southern California due to the better opportunities and better pay (mostly better pay). Gina Aladin-Bernadeau Hi Gina! I’ve not experienced racism myself. However, if you’re not from the area it may take some time for people to get to know you but it may not. I’d say find a church or civic organization and be consistent in attending and participating and getting to know people that way.

GloFreak Hi! Thank you for commenting. It natural to be nervous about moving to a different place. If it helps, where you’re moving to is about 25 miles away from Dickinson, ND, which has about 17,000 people and is a nice option if you want to go to a bigger city at times. I would say give yourself time to appreciate the good things about living in a small town because there are plenty. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi jonesbunny! It's funny that you use the word decent because that's how I would the amount of Blacks/African-Americans that I've met in North Dakota. I've met at least 20-30 Blacks since moving here in March, 2015. That includes people originally from other countries as well. I would also say that I've met some nice non-Black people as well. It's been great getting to know a variety of people from various backgrounds.

I’m being offered a great amount of money out in North Dakota to install alarms for Vivint homes.they will pay for my housing I’m just a little paranoid about what to expect any tips ??
@danasims75136 жыл бұрын
PENUS ANDCOCO Hi! Not sure what tips you may want but in general i would say be friendly towards people. I’ve found that when you’re not from the area you have to kind of win people over to like and trust you. It doesn’t mean kissing up or anything but just try to be consistently friendly or cordial. On the other hand, you may meet some people right away who are open to getting to know you. If you’re moving during the summer months be prepared for long days and nice weather. Hope that helps. You can ask specific questions or let me know the area to where you’ll be moving and I can possibly offer more detailed answers.

Lisa Wilson Hi Lisa. Winter here gets pretty cold. It is currently -12 at 10 o'clock at night. However, most places are well-heated so as long as you don't hang outside for too long you'll be fine. to Depending on where you're moving from, I'd say buy thermal underwear, warm boots, and a big coat and gloves, if you don't have any. I'll do a video that addresses some tips to making it through a ND winter.
