Thank you for making this video. I'm a native Cali girl but love nature and sustainability. I left to Oregon in 2010 and also lived in Denver for a year but the cost of living got so high in the Portland area - everyone loves and knows about it now lol! I was thinking of going to Boise, but have heard a lot of Californians have invaded! I have been thinking of ND for a few months since it has great air quality.

Thanks for sharing. I wanna know what job prospects are for International students In North Dakota?. How easy is it to get a part time job?
@danasims75134 жыл бұрын
Cyril Ahiable Hi! I apologize for my delayed response. Job opportunities were plentiful when I was in ND. That is the main reason I moved there. I met several people who were foreign born who worked in North Dakota. There are also universities that support international students and have resources that can help you connect with the local community where you live. I worked for the government and was steadily employed for almost 4 years. There’s plenty of jobs in Fargo, Minor, Bismarck, as well as the smaller cities, but it depends on the industry in which you’re interested.

Dona Harrell where are you moving from? Fargo is ND’s largest city but if you’re coming from a big city then it might seem to have a small town feel for you. I prefer Fargo myself.
@danasims75133 жыл бұрын
Hi Dona Harrell, it depends on what you want in a city. Valley City is a very pretty town with lots of greenery in the spring and summer. It's on the smaller side with about 7-8,000 people and it has a nice small college. It's about 90 miles away from Fargo in case you want to get to the big city sometimes.

@@Ljw48 I’ve actually lived in ND the majority of my life. This was a joke I heard about 20 years ago and always thought was hilarious…partially because, sometimes, it kinda feels like that’s what our seasons are. The last few years have have been pretty good, we’ve had several mild winters in a row. But I’m not a fan of the April blizzards we keep getting…the spring weather will be so beautiful that it feels like summer came early, I break out the shorts and put the snowblower away, then get 6+ inches of snow…when I have a bunch of stuff on the deck because I’ve started spring cleaning.
