Carry a small beverage cooler with room for a few water bottles in your vehicle. Phx. is hot, hot, really hot in the summer. People get dehydrated quickly here. Wouldn't hurt to have a hat or umbrella in the car in case of car trouble. Loose light colored cotton clothing is comfortable in summer. If you decide to go north into the mountains, take a coat or jacket. Temperature change is pretty diverse. The Phx.Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens are close together and a great way to spend the day. Good luck to you, young lady!

Just did this drive from Maryland it took 2days (that’s including stops). I drove a 16ft truck with my car attached. Anyone thinking of doing this I say go for it! It’s beautiful here.

Did the same thing 21 years ago from New York to Tempe packed the car no furniture 12k in the bank and left.

I’ve done this trip 2 times myself from Chicagoland. Just moved back to Phoenix area from the Chicagoland burbs last week. Also lived out here from 13-18 then went back to Chicagoland to help out my sister in her trying times. We were there a lot longer than we hoped and then COVID hit and prolonged our stay there. So glad to be out of Illinois.

Again welcome and there are homeless people here. They are all over but mostly by the freeways. There is also a very bad areas in the Phx area. There are tons of places to go hiking. In the summertime we do a lot of movies to be inside and swimming. So you decided Tempe known as college town. I like it there too.

I'm moving to Phoenix from Tampa and am very nervous. I'm ready for a change. I make in the lower 6 figures which is big in Tampa being that the workforce doesn't offer high salaries. In with the government in management. I also have an MBA and am in my Doctoral Program. I have saved a little over 100k. I'm not a lavish person and am fine with renting for now. I want a 2b 2b apartment no more that 1400k in a decent area. Am I reaching for the stars? Would I need to take more time in Tampa to find a job first? I wild normally never move without a job. But I'm so over Tampa and my job! What do you think?
