In my hometown, you can rent an apartment for $100. Electricity is about $3 per month. Of course you’re not close to the beach.

You should definitely do more like this. There are some of us moving to Mexico to immerse ourselves in Mexican culture and live amongst the locals (like myself). And many have budget considerations (also me) who can't afford most options marketed to foreigners.

Enjoyed this episode. " Moving to Mexico" , for most people, should probably begin with a rental property. So I'm told. More " Behind the Mexican Rental Door" would be awesome. Long term and winter season properties that are not brand new and expensive would be interesting to view.

That part of town might be further out, but did look pretty modern with the paved streets and clean organized homes!

I moved to Tlaquepaque last year. My two bedroom house is small but we spend so much time outside. It does not matter at all. BTW, my rent is $3,500 pesos and I have to pay for water, electricity, gas tanks and internet. It is like $350 for everything.

Absolutely do more videos like this. I'm a Canadian living in New Mexico who has been seriously considering moving to Mexico. Rental costs are an issue for me and I'm very interested to find out what I can rent for a given amount of money. Thanks for your videos.

I’ve seen a few of your videos, they’re entertaining to see what you’re doing. I think if people are willing to go to the rough areas, they can find housing for that price anywhere, even the Lake Chapala where we’re at. The locals that are the younger working class seek out affordable housing on local fb groups that the expats don’t get into or very few do because they don’t speak Spanish. Hilarious that your friend asked you if you’d live there? 😂 I wouldn’t live there, been here nearly 20 years but we started out living in the popular area of Guadalajara, owned a house and I could never relax. I think the environment would stress me out on a daily basis, I’m too spoiled now. I would have when we first moved down. We just gutted a studio in the Lake Chapala area as an investment and it’s been interesting. We were led to believe that it’d be really easy to rent. It’s been 2 months and we haven’t rented it. Granted, I may be a bit picky about who I rent it to considering what is invested in the property. 😅 I’m so stressed out about it I’m willing to sell it.

Would love to see more of these! Different towns.. and a range of rental prices. $250 to $1500 seems perfect. 🤘🤘🤘

Love this area! I am told that people moved from all over Mexico, to build Nuevo Vallarta, creating this very diverse town. Amazing food here!

Thanks for sharing this video. Its great to see youtubers showing great areas to live for folks on a budget. Not everyone can afford a highrise or a big city budget.

WOW! I thought you were showing us places for $ 250 per night! While this is basic it really covers it for a single person or couple that is more on the minimalist side... I think it is great! I rented a second floor room with bathroom for 4 months and THIS is far better because you don't have to worry about bothering anyone... Self contained! Thanks guys!

A place like this would work for me .Like you said it has everything you need you can decorate it to your style ,and from the money that I would be saving I would use that money to explore the rest of Mexico. There are many of these hidden Gems in Mexico some much bigger and nicer within the same price range sometimes even lower. Many American and Canadian citizens never find them because they stick to the touristy and expat areas

Like many others have said, please do more videos like this with many different pricing options. I'm a single 55 year old woman who is SERIOUSLY considering a move to Mexico from Michigan, and I'm looking for a furnished one bedroom with an office space, covered outdoor space and a washer/dryer combo. My only real concern is finding something like that in a SAFE area, but I need a landlord that will allow a dog. I've looked at many different videos, but I haven't seen any place with those requirements, much less one in my limited budget. So, please consider those of us who are seriously considering a move like this, not just folks who are looking out of curiosity (not that there's a thing at all wrong with just being curious). Some of us desperately need a little help!
