In the late 60s, early 70s. My grandfather would drive a John Deere model B, tractor pulling me around farm mowing, as by that time the horses were gone. I know the mower was an ihc.

I'd like to se exactly what it is that is actually cutting the grass. Apparently some moving blades but you can't see on the video.

It’s a set of knives that slide back and forth that cut the hay. It’s called a sickle bar mower. Picture how your hedge trimmer works.

Wouldn't it be nice if such scenes could be found regularly on farms in our area instead of being nostalgic events organized by draft horse enthusiasts who have to bring their horses from far and wide?
