So that phrase you started with in the beginning was 4 bars but the time signature was 3/4, not 4/4. By having 3 bars of 4/4 it comes back around and aligns the downbeat, but sort of creates a polyrhythmic meter against the metronome's downbeat.

Your thoughts on Loopy Pro? I'm trying to decide if I want to go into Logic or Loopy Pro on iPad, and watching your videos I'm leaning further towards Logic, but the amount of updates and overall configurability that Loopy Pro offers is still making it a hard decision. Love your videos by the way! I hope MPC Live 3 drops at some point in the next year, or the fabled Live mini, I have a Live 2 and I still think it's the best MPC out currently. But I would grab a Key 37 if they dropped a retro version. LOL.

Agreed on a live mini especially! So my understanding is loopy pro is primarily about looping audio which just really isn’t my sort of thing. I was waiting for them to add midi looping but then logic dropped and that’s really all I need besides a full port of Ableton live which I’m increasingly sure will never happen

@@DylanParisMusic That makes sense. As a guitarist, it may still be something I’d want to utilize in the future, but I’m looking for more of a full featured work station, so I’ll probably go the route of Logic. Looking into Loopy Pro further, it’s starting to become more of a complete DAW, so it may evolve into a better option down the line. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your creative process! I’m loving my 37 (had it about 3 weeks now) and my process looks remarkably similar to yours. Either we’re both doing it right, or we’re in big trouble ;) It’s just so easy to get something up and running quickly. I’ve made about 30+ beats since I got it. Any idea I have, I switch on the 37 and within minutes I’ve got something down. It’s an inspiration machine! :) I recently got a Katana: Go headphone amp for my guitar (it’s amazing!) and it sounds great going through the 37 - I highly recommend it if you’re curious about laying down some guitar (or bass!) on your tracks. I do wish you could mute the audio tracks as easily as you can with the midii tracks. That’s the only annoyance I’ve found so far! Anyway, thanks for another great vid! QS =)

How are you liking it compared to the Force?

I’d probably recommend it over the force for a lot of users but it depends on what you want to do and how you like to create. Definitely a lot of crossover between the two but I prefer it probably to the force

It's the same as 61 61 just got extra keys 37 is better

@@melvainlegent6764 not really! 61 has 4GB ram, physical touch strip, SSD slot for extra hard drive, more connections at the back....... The only thing 37 better with is the SD memory slot.... Go for a 61, got more keys🙂👍 cheers!

I got a 61 and love it, but it's sorta stuck in my studio hooked up to synths and Eurorack, so I'm juicin for a 37 to carry around.
