Great work Oggie! BTW, the reason i included the color button masks was because i was worried that the paint might rub off if you were to use it in cosplay

Thank you Oggie, another great build video, I love Space 1999, watching the show on TV in the 70s as a kid it was so exciting and terrifying at the same time, looking forward to your next Space 1999 build and Hawks ship, and yes I for one would love to watch a painting video, you are an extremely talented artist.

Yes they made a toy comlock back then they were actually a pair of walkie-talkies in the shape of the comlock, my older brother had a set of them also with the toy stun gun that was actually a flashlight.

I just came across your channel... wow- thx for the memories! I grew up with Space: 1999, and it's so neat to see so much love for this show even now! Great to see the old kits coming back out and re-igniting our childhoods! Fantastic work on the props, they look camera ready!!

Loved this build, I had to add a bit of weight to my gun and I noticed in time the comlock screens were also printed on the box if you just wanted to insert them instead! Great build and might revisit mine after watching this 😎👍

Doug is the person that designed the NX-01 for Enterprise. He's top notch. I saw his post of you Diorama there and I thought that was real cool. Getting Nick Tate to sign that Comlock is so cool. That's a keeper for sure.

Excellent job. This definitely makes me want to do this kit over. Sort of a silly thing I did with my original build was to add weight to each device. I tightly packed small bags with playground sand and stuffed them into each device along with steel bolts. No rattling or shaking and they feel heavy in the hand when picking them up. I wanted them to feel less like a toy and more like a piece of (retro?) electronics.

Those turned out really excellent! I've always loved the Space 1999 props. I have a resin comlock from years ago that was fun to build but these have been on my radar for a while. Great job as always!

Awesome, Oggie, as usual. My Stun Gun had "dimples" or sinks that needed to be filled. And when you say "Gordon," I know you mean "he who does not build, he buys". When talking about the kudos you received for your Viper hangar diorama, I realized we know too many of the same people. 😁 Talk at'cha later, bro.

Hi, Interstellar Modeler, I’m a new subscriber, I’ve just watched the Space 1999 Comlock and Stun Gun kit builds, and in particular the bit about removing chrome from plastic parts, soaking overnight in bleach! I myself have a better solution to this which is much faster. I use a standard drain unblocker and it takes seconds, you can literally watch it happen then rinse your parts in a bowl of warm water. I would advise testing the brand of unblocker first on a piece of sprue.

I'd love to start modelling, but don't know where to start. The thought of airbrushing puts me off a bit. Total beginner, never even made a basic plane kit. Yikes! 😱

Thanks for watching. Try not to be too intimidated. My advice is to start with simple kits in order to build your painting and detailing skills. With painting, most people start with spray cans but I found an airbrush to be much better with many more paint options too. Lots of KZfaq videos on how to airbrush and it isnt too complicated. Feel free to let me know if you have any specific questions. Thanks again.

@@InterstellarModeler That's really kind of you. Thanks for the confidence boost. I've thought about a basic Spitfire kit or maybe a car. Interesting you mentioned spray cans. I hadn't thought about those. I live in a small place with nowhere I can use an airbrush. Unless they're battery powered for outside with a box. 🤞
