Technicolor Creative Studios Production Supervisors Gary Brozenich and Jessica Norman worked alongside MPC Film VFX Supervisor Sebastien Raets, VFX Producer Skye Radies and teams in London, Montreal, and Bangalore delivering over 180 shots, and with VFX Supervisor Yann Blondel, VFX Producer Kristina Prilukova and the Paris based team, delivering an additional 220 shots.

These are the kind of shots the "CGI is ruining modern movies" crowd doesn't know about.

Okay but BECAUSE of these cgi shots, the movie BOMBED. Look it up. 100 million dollars plus marketing. Massive flop. If he had waited a bit to film this in a easier time, and used practical sets this could have cost half as much. Thats hollywoods major issue: Movies that really dont *need* CGI are overusing it. CGI should be reserved for deaging, and blockbuster superhero/action films, or in cases where the specific big moments require it (Oppenheimer for example will probably show nuke test footage but perhaps nolan will use the actual footage from back then. If not, that might cost some money.) They would have saved time and money on the post production process. This movie didnt need to cost that much. And Ridley is in my top 3 of all time btw so don't think I'm just hating to be a negative nancy. This is a widespread issue in the film industry. Even movies I love didnt need the amount of cgi they used.

@@cameronharrington6813 dear Cameron, cgi here is used to save money, not to use it because they can. Imagine paying thousands of extras and thousands of costumes just for the final duel. Or imagine trying to find a real medieval church. CGI is used to speed up and pay less, not because they want to flex

@@cameronharrington6813 What you appearantly don't know how much studios save by using vfx. I mean just the Extras, costumes, Location and setdressing would cost minimum twice the amount. Add to that film studios get major tax incentives in Vancouver, which save a lot of money too, for example

I’m all for cg when used right. I think there are alot of films that overuse it, this does a good job, and works unlike alot of Marvel movies. Miniatures mixed with cg could have added to the realism.
