Seriously, the way Bean walks down to the beach with a top of the vehicles like stairs makes me think that this scene requires no CGI at all, just all practical.

It was practical. The DVD has behind the scenes footage of that. The only CGI done was to remove the wires that Rowan Atkinson was on.

Indeed, fallen angel Bean finally had his Holy Day, having won the chance to take the trip in a raffle taking place in a church at the beginning of the film. In translation, the lyrics of "La Mer" include ... "The sea In the summer sky merges His white sheep with the angels so pure. The sea - azure shepherdess, infinite". Not even sure the makers realised this. But then the Holy Spirit is one of the makers of this movie, so perfection is what we can expect, and - if we look, we can see at least a bit of that. I can. You too!
