These gambling attics, or other kinds of people that use money for drugs, or whatever often are that way because they need the money they have for whatever it is that they’re using it for… Business ventures, drugs, gambling, and if they give it up, then they’re dead in the water. So if they have to take a beating ,that’s temporary. But when you threaten their family like Ray did now you’re speaking a different language that they understand you’re not playing around.

I've known a couple of people like Ray, not hitmen, but terrifyingly committed to their own code of conduct. The only example I can give clearly, is when a guy was being a dick to a friend of mine. My friend just smiled, a very Ray Shoestring smile. Little bit later, the dickhead came up to my friend and apologised, shook his hand, offered to buy the table drinks. Friend never said a word. Apparently someone else had explained to the dick the danger he was in, and suggested he make amends.

There were a few rusted out old cars deep in the woods on his property, I never asked how they got there. They weren't his, though, and the property had been in the family since before cars were a thing. Yeah, but he doesn't. He feels like he's making his character look too much like a good guy because it makes the thin line between good and evil a lot wider, like there's a lot of wiggle room. There is nowhere else for Ray's story to go after the last season. The best shows I've ever watched reached a strong conclusion. The good shows that become hard to watch are the ones that don't know where to go, but have the backing of people who want to milk every last penny. I respect that they concluded the show with the smile Ray has before he's about to make somebody regret the stupid decision they've made.

@Babidi11110 ай бұрын
- he wouldn't really mess with women or kids. If anything Ray is pissed that the guy has a family and put them in such clear danger by borrowing what he couldn't pay back. If Ray wasn't the one collecting, someone else without a code might have been visiting that guys family. Sure, Ray is a violent criminal, but he usually is able to focus his barbarous nature at people who have it coming in some way and often helps a friend or someone vulnerable while doing it. So its more of an anti hero type thing. One of those not the hero we want but one that we need sort of things.
