James is an international treasure. Nobody nails the slightly awkward, yet deeply confident comedic style of his.

I love this obliviously uncool yet extremely cocky persona, it's a wonderful niche he and makes a nice change for the class stereotypes that most comedians have gone for in the last few decades. It's also interesting to compare it to his earlier material where he played the more archetypal shy nerd, a cliche which is so overplayed as to have lost its comedic power.

Flawless timing and tone of voice shifts. This is why percussion is such a great training for a comedic imagination.
