Got a brand new one in 1969 when I worked on the Harewood Estate. Used to muck to pig pens out with it. Great fun when you are a 16 year old lad! And that Power Steering, made the job a doddle!

I used to spread muck back in the day with Howard muck spreader MF165 round axel no PAS one tractor drop spreader, fill load hitch it up again ( no PUH) and off you go, loved the job even the the smell !! Breaks what are they? No weight on the back so you slid into spreader and used loader to stop!! but don’t forget about wheel on spreader or you burst the radiator 😮

Great video - who needs brakes when you can lower the loader on to the spreader to stop !!

What I mostly like is the front loader AND MF135 sound. Don't know if it's a olfactory or customized homemade loader but it's well designed. Especially Massey Ferguson Company was building aweful front loaders for 35 and 135 models back in those days. They were badly designed AND pretty easy to bend or break. The tip bucket reminds me of the first part of the 70's when I was between 7 and 10 years old. I saw manure loading with that kind of wired tipping system in action. It was like really hard to pull the handle when bucket was full. This guy here knows how to "handle" it.

Lovely video, brings back memories. Best little tractor ever made apart from those squeaky ( and often useless) brakes. Note too the typical s__t covered cab a typical result of using a Howard Rotospreader!

Judging by the number-plate on the tractor, this would be Co Antrim in the early 1970's.

I have no knowledge but will attempt to guess what is going on :- a) the bucket on the back is simply for ballast weight. b) the tractor is loading 'compost' which might be 2yrs old, and will be spread on the fields.

Ironically they are the exact same tractors we have!!

I have Always whondered how those manurespreaders whit sideways spreading works. By the look of the tractors cab on the one pulling it doesn't look too promising.
