I went out again off-road with it today, Not so much dust as it was wet, but plenty of leaves and super slo-mo. Using new Go-pro 10's and the horizon stabilisation and 120 FPS is something else.

@@FullOnRC Good to hear atleast, should have been a bit grippier with the wet. The videos are looking really good quality-wise so good to hear too. New tech is so impressive recently it's hard to see where it goes next, maybe more FPS or quality on the camera's but it won't make too much difference imo.

That is an amazingly fast Hotshot! May I ask if this is the 3652 or 3660 size can? If it's the smaller one, do you think the 3660 would fit in there/wouldn't rub against the rear right wheel?

Nice vid, I was thinking of putting a 5400kv Max10 in a rere Super Hotshot, having seen your video I am wondering if it will be a bit too much for it!? What are the specs on the battery you are using please? I am thinking of going for a 5400mAh 50c 2s.
@FullOnRC
@FullOnRC Жыл бұрын
I think a 5400KV would be a bit much for it myself. The diffs in these cars are real old school and not sealed so that grease is just going to whizz out. I guess you never know till you try, and parts are cheap I guess. I use www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B098L67635/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@whome5810
@whome5810 Жыл бұрын
@@FullOnRC Yeah the only reason I was going for the 5400kv is that it is the same price as the 4000kv, it may turn out to be false economy once I have broken a few things! Can you charge those Zeee lipos at 2c by any chance? What sort of run time do you get? Cheers!
@FullOnRC
@FullOnRC Жыл бұрын
@@whome5810 In my experience the 5400KV is too much if I'm honest, I run a lot of my Tamiya with the 4000kv and people told me in the forums that that would be too much. I run it in my Thundershot series cars and IMO it is perfect. Possibly a little too much for these old cars but it works well in the 4wd Cars and beats the snot out of the silver can etc. I have like over 30 Tamiya all running the 4000KV motor and I am really happy with the way the ESC and motor performs. The ESC motor is 3d compatible too only problem is you will find it hard finding a 3s battery that fits all the old style oval cut outs in the older Tamiya cars. 2C charge. What do you mean? I balance charge these lipo's at 4.2 amps.
@whome5810
@whome5810 Жыл бұрын
@@FullOnRC Thanks for the info! A 2c charge would mean the battery is capable of being charged at 8.4amps instead of 4.2amps, which cuts the charge time in half. I have some Turnegy 5000mah 3s lipos that can take an 8c charge, which I have never dared try, I charge them at 2c, so I put 10 amps into them.
@FullOnRC

Don't wanna hate and I am not but I have to say. This is one of the most irritating driving styles I have seen to the point where I can't watch to the end of the video LOL. I know I know very sad but hey. I am a 52yr old Tamiya man and some of us are stuck in our ways LOL. The throttle is proportional, I don't know why people just do intermittent blast at full power as their style of driving, You don't drive any real vehicle by full throttle for 1 second, full brakes the full power of 1 second. Nor do you drive in a straight line constantly blipping the throttle from zero to full. So SO mind numbing to listen too and mega frustrating. It's a very noob way of driving an RC car and hows a lack of control. Nothing wrong with being a noob, that fact also doesn't make it sound any the less irritating and well, just kinda noob dumb. Love your Hotshot mate, very sweet and very quick. Nice build. Sorry I just couldn't watch till the end.
