Good story! I wish I was as young as y'all, but then I have the advantage of spending more time on this old earth than you have. I just got me a high performance pacemaker installed on Friday. I told the doctor I wanted a high performance one with dual exhaust, chrome, flame paint job and headers! He laughed and said he would hook me up. When it was time to be discharged on Saturday, I asked for a wheel chair with wide whitewall tires, but they told me they didn't have any...

I met the first Ms. O in a tavern. I was driving cab, and had a fare to pick up there. She had just started tending bar there. I knew that because I was in that place about every day after work. One thing led to another, and after 13 years it ended. I met the second, current, and best Mrs. O online in 1998. We've been together ever since, so it isn't true that everyone on line is a catfish. I just retired in October, and we are now in our little house in Tennessee, relaxing and enjoying each other's company at last. All the best to you and your family,

the only vehicle more perfect for a young man in high school than your truck is a 1981 Chevy Chevette diesel. 30+mpg and can "smell a hill" just like your truck! my last week of high school in 1988, Grandma let medrive her 1964 Chevy Bel-Air with a well worn 283 that smoked half as bad as "uncle buck's" car! she warned me "when you get over 60mph, the TEMP light will come on and go out when you drop below 60!" she WAS RIGHT. 4 doors and a trunk big enough for 4 DBs, YES SIR I had wheels (and some other students that also had broken down cars rode with me!).

I had one of those Chevette diesels in high school. It was not a chick magnet. Haha

You kids really do know how to make a man feel very old... I got married the first time in 66, went to nam and the got me a divorce cause my brother who made sure she wasn't lonesome and her had a family going... got married again, against better judgement in 76. My same brother struck again. I have never acknowledged him as a brother and don't even know if he is still alive. I got drunk for six years and then quit. I ain't drank since but takes a lot of whiskey to wash away all those tears she never cried. Actually the story is quite ugly and no one wants or needs to know anymore... I still think that lady of yours is one of the prettiest young girls in my world. I ain't a chasing your girl, that is what killed me for a good many years and a fortune in cash. Doctors keep telling me I ain't got much more time.. been on hospice a few times and most figure I am dead but I keep disappointing them. I admit that I ain't in too good a shape but I ain't too proud to say that you two are still some of my real friends
