I have been a Nurse in the same facility 38 year's and I would have written her up. She is a lousy human being too begin with however this infuriates me. Also sitting behind the desk, filming a med tech or nurse is against state laws. I can't fathom a DON being OK with her gross negligence.

It is SO irritating to hear Amber complain that "the main doctor only saw us for like a minute" when they went to the *ER* for a non-emergency. Like yeah, Amber, overworked and exhausted ER doctors are not going to waste time holding your hand and personally treating Destiny's acid reflux when they have *actual emergencies* to deal with - Destiny's problem can easily be handled by a nurse. I'm not even a doctor and that grinds my gears like nothing else.

Doctors are lazy tho.
@shadominx3696
@shadominx3696 2 жыл бұрын
Actually, this is coming from someone disabled with a rare, seriously painful disease (on the McGill Pain Chart it tops everything. Child birth, arthritis, amputation, everything.), some doctors are utterly lazy and just don't care. This laziness and ignorance took over 2 years for me to get a proper diagnosis. Just because someone is a doctor doesn't mean they're good at their job nor does it mean they know what they're doing.
@shadominx3696
@shadominx3696 2 жыл бұрын
I also forgot to mention (thank you to whoever liked my comment, great reminder) one doctor fucked up my spine and caused me to get ANOTHER rare disease (Arachnoiditis) but instead of acknowledging it, he gaslit me, called me a drug seeker and a liability to his license, and ignored my symptoms and pain to the point where my new doctor (at the time) had to get me rushed to the ER. It was so painful I couldn't lift my legs, they had to heavily medicate me in the hospital just so I could lay on my back for an MRI. My new doctor diagnosed me right after I got the MRI done. So please don't think all doctors are great at what they do. Most are fucking horrible at their jobs and are even worse human beings.
@nightwishlady
@nightwishlady 2 жыл бұрын
@@shadominx3696 Saying that are bad doctors is one thing, but saying most of them are awful doctors and worse human beings seems biased , you had one or two bad experiences and it's saying it applies to most , malpractice it's only 17% of the cases with doctors , plus Amber just had a reflux and was complaining that the doctor asked the nurses to treat her , nurses are a 100% capable of treating a reflux and probably the doctors was in a 24 hours shift and that time was the time reserved for him to take a BREAK and SLEEP , that's not being an awful doctor, that's priorities , her case was not severe and the nurses were qualified to treat her, period ! There are some bad doctors but not "most" "nearly all" you are really biased

@@nightwishlady I actually had numerous bad experiences, dude. You don't know how many physicians I've seen. I do. I've seen over 60 doctors in the last 10 years for CRPS and Arachnoiditis. Yes, I've counted. I have my records in my filing system here at home, their names are all on there. You don't get to sit there and talk about my fucking experiences like you know me, like you were there. I'm talking from experience because I've HAD years of experience with doctors and their bullshit. This wasn't "one or two bad experiences." This was nearly TEN YEARS of bad experiences. Amazing that car crash survivors and stabbing and shooting victims might get a bit more face time with a doctor in the “Emergency Room” than the one girl moaning over a bad stomachache with no other detectable symptoms and the other girl with her side-eyeing, duck-facing, filming in the hospital, calling the phlebotomist “creepy” and pissing off the nurses. It doesn’t require an MD to administer peptobismo and a mild painkilller. In fact, maybe they could have tried that themselves. Much shorter wait time.

Yeah I was just thinking how hard it must be to find her veins. I'm a normal weight and my veins can be a bit hard to find as it is after a few blood donations, but nothing that a tourniquet and me knowing which arm is easier doesn't solve. But when there are so many layers of fat, the angle of the needle needs to change, the depth of the needle going on needs to change. And you want to get it right first time, to prevent pain to the patient, so yeah it could take a long time to find 😅 When I worked at the antenatal clinic in hospital, if we ever had trouble finding veins in obese patients, we would call in the midwife that used to be an A&E nurse because she was absolutely magic at finding veins, she had a gift

@@zeejustin6 that's a good point for sure, and I'm sorry you deal with that even still. I went into surgery to have a heart monitor implanted, but when I went under they finally realized their mistake, and put in a pacemaker. We realized it saved my life, as a few days later my heart completely lost its ability to beat on its own and required the pacemaker 24/7 Meanwhile most of Amber's issues are of her own doing and she has more power than anyone else to treat them or stop some of them outright, unlike either of us If you're comfortable with I'd love to hear your experience, though you don't have to. Well, since it’s the US we‘re talking about, I don‘t know how the laws about privacy work over there, but here in Germany, you could sue the shit out of her for filming without permission. Pretty sure though that’s the case in the US too. So I wonder why that’s not happened yet.

In just going to say, I found ALR over 5 years ago now, and back then I was a much heavier person. I started to watch her and something finally gave me to motivation to turn things around for myself. I ended up losing 90lbs and have kept it off. As someone who is only 5 feet tall being almost 200lbs really took a toll on my body. I started walking then tracking my progress. I started to lose weight and then became addicted to losing more and seeing how much further I could walk. My life is so much better now than it has been in two decades. I am smaller than I’ve been in two decades and have a ton more energy.
