Yeah I have mixed feelings about this. I had a very very f8cked up childhood and blamed everyone else for my behaviour in adulthood until 30. Then i sought help and was told I had to take responsibility for my adult self. As a consequence, I changed for the better and built a decent life. So imo, in adulthood, it becomes a matter of taking personal responsibility. We can’t blame the past forever.

Now two episodes later, feeling so puzzled about what I've just seen (never heard of her before) and trying to decide when I'll have time for the next. Mister Snowflake, your restrained, ironical, I guess British accent doing the commentary is what makes of this a master piece. I learned English watching tv, a lot of it were BBC nature documentaries, and that's what your voice reminds me of. Instead of commenting on the feeding habits of the elephants of the Serengeti, this. Fascinating.

Any story AmberLynn tells, you can be sure that she was the hero. It will always place her in a very positive light. So you know it’s all a lie. She’s literally the worst kind of person. The kind that’s a “expert” at everything. The kind that “did it better”. If you tell her that you graduated with a 3.5 GPA, Amber will say “that’s nothing. I graduated with a 5.0.” If you told Amber you caught a 10lb fish out of a local pond, Amber will tell you “that’s cool. One time, when I was in Foster Care, this super hot millionaire invited me to go fishing on his mega yacht, and I caught a great white shark. It was SOOOO big! But I got it on the boat all by myself. Her family took the first opportunity to cut her off when she went to Arizona. She (a legal adult) imposed herself on a 15 year old and their single mother. The mom's bf threatening her was a bit much, but can you blame them for "making her life difficult"? *They wanted her gone.* Not to mention abusing her underage partner, and cheating on them with Krystle. Come to think of it, has she ever been single in her time on KZfaq? Seems she always has a replacement lined up. She doesn't want to pay a caregiver, so she dates instead. I also did this for almost a full year didn't lose anyway I was almost 300 lb when I got real with myself I realized that I had to still cut what I was eating drastically in order to drop any weight despite exercising. I think this is exactly what she was doing. Ps Im 125 lbs down being motivated by amber and chantal

I had a weird thing happen in regards to my weight. Through my life and into my mid thirties I ran "chubby". I then began having extreme sleep/anxiety issues and was subsequently prescribed a drug called Remeron. It worked (although with caveats) but one of the side effects was weight gain and I gained like 70 pounds. I got off of Remeron in my very early 40s (I'm 43 now) and it was like my metabolism came back stronger than it ever was. Combined with the fact that I started doing physical work and I can now literally (weight wise anyway) eat whatever I please. I do not suggest this plan though as it was quite the road to get here. Sorry for the novel guys.

I disagree... She was always delusional and even her early videos only a few months into her YT career, you see evidence of this little by little.... Saying she's proud of herself and needing asspats through failure after failure. She made bs excuses for being lazy or why she's gained weight. She pretends to be shocked and confused every single time. She contradicts herself over and over; starting, stopping and restarting things she claims doesnt work for her, but its mysteriously not her fault cuz whatever it was, she swears she did it perfectly. I mean, if your scale works just fine for everyone else in the house, just not for you... what's a gorl to do, am I right? Come on! She couldn't even handle the slightest amount of criticism from the jump, instead deciding on saying those that leave negative comments simply have no life and are haters. But it didn't initially start out as hate, like she purports. As time went on of video after video of failures, weight gain, excuses, immature and annoying behavior, fake-quitting YT for attention, ignoring any advice - instead, choosing to highlight and actually read on cam certain hate comments while simultaneously claiming to have thick skin, and she's just putting it out there to show how unbothered she is. So yeah, just like everything in her life that results in a negative outcome, the birth of Haydur Nation just simply wasnt her fault and she has ZERO culpability in it.... And all of that is why I struggle to find any sympathy for her. Even early ALR I dont feel bad for... and YT wasnt her downfall. It only helped her reach this destination much faster.

Just imagine for a moment if you will, that your very shy, introverted, and vulnerable daughter, who’s confused about her sexuality, shows up to your home with this 360lb loud, eccentric, narcissistic, manipulative, attention seeking, inconsiderate, and bossy gorlfriend, and that same day she moves into your home, and strong arms you into providing for her every want and need. On top of that, she doesn’t just want the necessities taken care of, she wants an allowance, and she eats for four. And because you love your slow, vulnerable, easily manipulated, pushover of a daughter, you don’t argue, and allow this parasite to stay in your home. When you go out to eat, she orders multiples of the most expensive meals, and not even a minute after leaving the restaurant she wants you to take her to get desert. You finally get them home, and Amber goes right to the kitchen and starts eating the whole families groceries, as you walk upstairs to your room, defeated. You get ready for bed after a long day of catering to Amber’s every demand, you hear her loud and obnoxious screeching, weeezing laugh, as she talks to her camera the rest of the night, keeping you from getting any real rest. The fact that she saw no issue with the way that she just took over Krystles home, and not only did she strong armed them into providing for her, she also took an allowance from them. I can’t even fathom having the mentality to be able to do that. It just proves how much of a sociopath and narcissist she is. I was just thinking the same thing, there's no way I'd create a youtube channel about losing weight. I've lost a lot of weight over my life but ended up putting it back on (and more). I was bulimic as a teen and into my early 20s then had a traumatic event which made me stop the bulimia and instead slowly start putting weight on. I'm 46 now and know I need to lose weight as some serious health issues are coming my way as I get older- but I also know the ammount of focus and organization I need to successfully lose weight is beyond me. To record and share myy struggles would be humiliating! I did make a lot of small changes after Covid because I had gained a lot of weight during lock down, and ended up losing 20 kilos without really trying, just making better healthier choices. Eerrggghh! I'm not familiar with Amberlyn, this is the first time I've watched anything about her (I knew she was on youtube and was overweight but that was it) but I couldn't think of anything worse for ones mental health than video documenting my weight/food issues from my youth to my 40s. Its messy, confusing, illogical and sometimes consistently healthy but not easy for me, the pressure from having an audience would break me! I haven't picked up on her nasty side yet but the comments indicate she's not a good person.

I even really struggled with emotionally binge eating to the point where I needed professional help. I spent my whole life making these bs excuses she does, I really have heard and said every single one. It was only when I educated myself and took accountability that it slowly came off and stayed off. I have no sympathy for someone who makes constant excuses. There will never be a "right time" to start, it's just an excuse to delay it over and over again. If you truly want something as bad as she claims she does, you put the f*ckin work in consistently. Being overweight can effect periods. I was once almost 300 lbs and mine went months without happening and when it did was very light. My biggest advice to anyone trying lose weight as a person who used to be overweight myself. Is to not have a specific weight loss goal. If you say 'oh I'm gonna lose this much weight by this date' your putting a lot of stress on yourself. And stress is something that can cause you to gain more weight. If you just take it one day at a time and not focusing on the numbers on the scale, eventually you will begin to see change.

I've known so many people like her that started out sweet and innocent but troubled and turned out to just be monsters (just like her) that those early videos are early warning signs. I say this because if anyone reading this is getting into a friendship or a relationship with someone and they do that shit (esp telling detailed, tragic personal stories really early on like that) then just run. Amber feeding the trolls from the very beginning. This is how she fostered this community we now know and love. Instead of deleting and blocking people and mentioning every single comment that's not praise, is EXACTLY how this community came about. It's like a child who is too young to understand their mom is busy with the new baby because infants require a lot of attention and care to just keep alive, so the toddler throws tantrums and makes messes, therefore getting in trouble, but hey at least it's some form of attention!! I’m one of those AL audience members who consistently has trouble deciding if my disappointment and dislike of her is truly unwarranted, or not. As others have said, it is difficult to loathe someone who so obviously started out in life under such duress. But for me, it’s where Amber continues to show a lack of true humility that keeps me from supporting her still. I am never ceased to be amazed by her wanton displays of gluttony (in all forms), her dismissal of true expert advice (Obese to Beast, and Papa Swolio, to name two) and her obvious continued attempts at audience manipulation. If she really was kind, humble, and determined-I’d be there for her in a heartbeat. But sadly, that’s probably never going to be the case.

So I have to confess to enjoying adult coloring books. It’s nice to turn off my brain and just put color onto a page. HOWEVER. . . I know this is a year later but it still applies. 😉 I went through the adult coloring books but the ones I liked best were the like "positive affirmations" cards. My oldest was going through Firefighting academy and would come home on weekends. I'd hide the cards that I colored in her bag, her car, even put one in a baggie and put it in with some home cooking I sent with her. I got tired of doing the actual coloring so now I use an app called "Pigment". It's got the basics with free daily pictures or you can of course pay for the premium package. You can color freehand or let the app do the work and just pick the colors. I spend way too much time on it but at least I got a profile picture out of it. 😂 The best part is that if you color outside the lines, you can erase it. 🤣

I know the struggle with weightloss, and I know exactly what she meant about periods that are half there and half aren't (a symptom of PCOS). But she's a terrible person outside of her possible ed. I'm not gonna waste my time defending her when there are other people who don't lie, abuse, manipulate, and all around scheme on others who are more deserving of support. I hope she gets help for her possible ed, but it ain't gonna come from me.
