Ok, this is the video I was looking for, including the order of disconnect. My power pack instructions say, in bold, connect the black cable to the engine frame no matter what. However, I've already watched 3 other video tutorials that instruct to attach to the negative battery terminal. Yours is the first that actually follows the instructions, though you do allow that if there is no unpainted engine frame available, then use the negative terminal. Are the power pack makers just being uber-caution-instructing to keep from being sued or what? lol Thanks.

You are correct in stating that manufacturers are being overly-cautious. The safest way is to keep sparks away from the battery, period. The best way to ensure a connection is to connect it to the battery directly.

Hi Yvon, Yes it will work, however you will need to check with Toyota on the proper jump starting procedure.

Well, at the 3:50 mark it would've been nice to know where the charge indicator lights were. Still 100% or something less? What if your car dies out for some reason and you're stranded after the 1st start?

The TORQUE series can start your car MANY times on a single charge. We removed the batteries on a V8 Lexus LX470 and jumped the vehicle 56 times on a single charge - fortunately you'll only need one jump to get you back on the road! Video here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m6-Boq15xr-piqM.html
