As A sea travel vlogger, you should include the area of accommodation in your video so that your audience will know what is inside and what to do inside when you are on board that vessel. 🚢⚓ ~Spread the Love ❤

I took this ferry in Feb 2015, same route. I chose the shared (male) sleeping room and pilled up on ramen noodles before departure. Great experience overall! Would recommend in a heartbeat!

Very nice trip, I didn't know many of those areas of the inland sea of Japan, in fact I hadn't noticed that they had that area of water between the islands. It has been very interesting and beautiful, thank you very much for publishing it

Shodo-Island is known for its olives and indeed it's nickname is 'Olive Island'. Hence the 'Olive Line' ferries that shuttle between it and Honshu/Shikoku.

Done this boat twice, once in 1993 and the next in 2000. Good times, everybody was puking and I was the only Gwailo first time. Shanghai had donkeys and carts lol. The trip up from the sea to Shanghai was spectactular.

This is a really great trip. I took the other vessel on this routing, the Xin Jian Zhen, going the same way because its outdoor deck wraps around and permits unobstructed views up front. Highly recommended. (Btw, Shanghai now has 17 lines in operation and more under construction.)

Just found your channel today and I must say I am surprised how much I enjoyed it having seen quite a bit of your content today (lockdown!). To be honest my usual transport channels involve air travel (Paul Lucas) and trains (Geoff Marshall)..... a lot of trains! My only sea travel experience is short ferry crossings (Swansea - Cork /, Straenraar, / Belfast, Dover / Calais, and Plymouth / Santander). Your channel has opened my eyes to new adventures when this damn pandemic is over. Interesting to see your downloaded KZfaq content for downtime, Astrophysics is my field. Have subscribed and liked.

Seems like there was only one passenger on the crossing. Not another sole to be seen on board! The only people seen were two fisherman in their trawler on the open sea and a few workers at the dock on arrival. A very good video all the same!

Me: terrified of deep waters and open sea... Also me: I want to travel around Japan by ferry and also take ferry to China and South Korea from Japan 😳 I live in Sweden and haven’t even been on a ferry at all since 2010 when I went over with the 15-20 minute long ferry ride between Helsingborg and Helsingør. After the pandemic I’d really like to go Gothenburg-Kiel as I live close to Gothenburg so it’s rather accessible for me to go on such a trip, I’d also really like to go Stockholm-Helsinki and maybe also Tallin. Trelleborg to Poland could be a nice trip as well. I do need to try to get past my fear of open sea... I guess I’m just traumatized by seeing the news of the Ms Estonia disaster when I was very young (I was about to turn 9)... Only time I’ve been on a ferry for an extended period of time (as in overnight) was when I went with DFDS from Gothenburg to Newcastle in 2006, sadly that was the last summer of that route, the ferry for Newcastle now leaves from Stavanger in Norway which is very far away unfortunately. It was a very enjoyable trip though, Gothenburg to Newcastle and back again, took about 25 hours or so each way. Also really nice to see Shanghai from the water! I’ve only seen it from land or air. My ex husband is actually originally from Suzhou so I went there on vacation a few times with him so we could spend time with his family too. I loved spending time in China! It’s such an amazingly beautiful country and both Shanghai and Suzhou are both fascinating and beautiful cities to visit. Suzhou felt like home for me whenever I went there
