For me, they lost all credibility when 3 of them lied under oath about their position re. Roe v. Wade during their confirmation hearings. Back in the day -- circa 1970's -- Tribe was on every Dem's shortlist for SCOTUS. They never got the chance, though but it might not have been that big of a loss: He was the Harvard debate coach at the time and he once sat in on our debate during a tournament, before we met his team in the next round. He spent at least a half-hour prepping them for us but they were still pretty awful, including the analysis he fed them. So I've never been very impressed by him. Still not. He was correct here, though.

The Supreme Court is in the process of 'throwing away the law', if POTUS is immune from all preosecution he then becomes 'The Law'. If Trump as president is immune from all prosecution then Biden is immune from all prosecution and can dispose of SCOTUS at will.
