At this price I’m not sure why these companies don’t put CE2 pads.

These would also be great for Tarmac slaying touring too. Today’s road miles are filled with adventure with all the cell phone distracted motorists. Nice job Tim. Thank you.

Thanks Tim, Always good to see good designs reviewed in the field. It helps a lot when making pricey decisions. Like the large hip pockets and appreciate the heads up about the sale too.

I have the MSR Xplorer ADV Pants and Jacket. After having ordered a set of Klim Carlsbad gear, I enjoyed the MSR gear more. Every bit as good as Klim in my opinion, with a better fit and price point.

Do you have any insight if these pants would fit over a larger diameter mx type Boot such as T7 or Gaerne Fastback Enduro?

I have about 20k miles on my Rocky Mtn Battleborn Pants. I really like them, all zippers still good. IMO they fit nothing like my old Klim mesh pants which I hated. My only gripe is the stupid ARC patch on the butt that is raised a bit and after 4-500 miles you feel it. Glad to see these don't have that. The summer vents are actually really good too on the pants too (the jacket is equally qood but the vents aren't great, it's not a hot summer jacket). IMO Rocky Mtn's Battleborn pants and jacket are about the best value on the market.

Like I said in your jacket review, I'm holding out for your summertime vent test. The ones in the pants don't look substantial enough for those of us riding in the south.

Tim I’m currently using Tourmaster 3. Coat and pants. I look like the Goodyear blimp in them but I know I can take a dump on the Arizona terrain and not get hurt Thank you for the great review. I hope they hold up as good as they look. I’ll let you know.

I wear basketball short under them. Don’t know if there’s enough room for pants under them, maybe if you size up 1

Just bought a pair. Considering returning them without riding in them because of the gusseted fly. To take a pee one would have to undo the buckle, unzip the fly, then pull the pant down four to five inches to relieve yourself. Frankly, the function of the gusset escapes me. In rain it would collect water because the gusset forms a pocket inside the zipper. What was your experience with this feature?
@FTAAdventures
@FTAAdventures Жыл бұрын
I am able to fold the gusset down and maybe only have to lower pants slightly to take a leak. I get what you are saying though, the gusset is kind of pointless.

I mean... comparable pants from other brands are running anywhere from $450 to $1,200 for a pair. IMO they are all overpriced, but these are a lot more affordable than others.
