Tbh the ending was pretty good but again the beginning was a time rush to defeat enemies/gain allies as it's limited the time before they overwhelm you.

The extended narration at the start is nice, but in the german version its spoken by an AI with absolutely no sync to the text

I personally really enjoyed this scenario, not having to manage my eco (even if it meant that some vills got randomly idle) and only focusing on fighting/micro with the many Kipchaks I trained felt really good. Though it did feel like I HAVE TO go for green as soon as I can otherwise I would get decimated by the Leitists, but after taking green and having an ally to help keep other enemies busy the map became way easier and I just ran around collecting the other allies (took me 3 attempts I think, hehe, cause first I did not reach the mongol invasion, 2nd when I reached it I did not have enough production buildings since the ones from outside the base were destroyed and I had no idea how to deal with the mongol army when mine got decimated), but overall only Ragnar and Robert are higher than this scenario for me.

I kept on making kipchaks and kept them inside my walls beside my castle with a couple of monks for the majority of the mission, I just baited green, red, teal and yellow units to die at the walls. I think I sent 500 food to cumans like 18 times. I kept on raiding with my boyar force and liberating purple towns. Trebuchets are far better to attack castles than rams along with boyars and like 10-15 kipchaks. The 4 enemy castles can be reached from outside the walls, you just need to find the right angle for each one, red castle can even be trebucheted form across a river. First defeated yellow and it turned into a cakewalk form there, even pushed out with my kipchaks form my base to help defeat other enemies faster. When the mongols came I found that you need to try and bait the cavalry away as much as you can and then attack their siege (with whatever cavalry you can train) when they are unprotected. I also massed siege onagers and elite skirmishers as much as I could and moved them form town to town to attack form behind the walls and held on as much as I could, I ended up fighting at green base last and defeated mongols there, all other towns were destroyed. You need to keep buildings working non stop and sending skirmishers and onagers to the next town mongols will atack. Skirms for mangudais, onagers for melee cavalry. I thinks this is my favorite mission of the DLC, pretty challenging but pretty fun.

I cheated at the end because i forgot siege onagers were a thing and for some reason my allies had like 3 units and didnt spawn more but oh if i wasnt allied they spawned infinity units

What the heck triggered Imperial Age?

The start of this mission made me crazy, either the AI camps with 100 post imp units around your town and u cant even move out or they just agro at random stables at the edge of the map. Beeing able to snipe Kiev from across the River is super important but took me a while to realize, the "u don't have to care about eco" aspect is horrible when random units kill the farms and the vill gets idle. Overall the worst scenario in this DLC imo, not from the idea, but from the execution
