Sriram Lakshman, an ardent fan of 'Mellisai Mannar' M.S.Viswanathan decodes the legendary composer's methods and composing techniques. Having spent countless hours with MSV himself, Sriram shares his insights and interesting anecdotes about MSV's life and creations, interspersed with his own melodious rendering of MSV's compositions.
About the author: Mr. Sriram Lakshman worked across the globe as a Software professional for 25 years. Presently indulges in healing, deep spiritual pursuits and bringing to South India the path he subscribes to which is elaborated at www.padmacahaya.com. Out of personal interest did fair amount of research work on Indian Film music of the 50s and 60s with accent on Hindi and Tamil songs. Founder Trustee of msvtimes.com a website dedicated to discuss the works of MSV. Msvtimes.com conducts regular research oriented programs and annual musical programs to highlight nuances of MSV's music. He comperes all these programs A part of P. Susheela trust that is geared towards providing financial support to needy musicians, he acts as a coordinator for fund raising programs for the same.

தமிழோடு ஆங்கிலம் கலந்தால் தேனும் பாலும் போல சுவைக்கும் என்பதையே ஸ்ரீராமின் உரை காட்டியது. It increased the merit and fluency of the topic. அவருடைய குரலில் தொனிக்கும் வெண்கலம் காதில் புகுந்து மனதில் பதியவைக்கும் முயற்சியில் மந்திரத்தில் ஆழ்ந்துவிடும் நிலையை அடைய வைத்தது. Amazing Analysis of MSV Music done truly by a Music Enthusiast based more on his Taste rather than his music knowledge. That's what made MSV stood apart from a crowd of composers. We look forward to more such presentations from this gentleman quite eagerly.

ஸ்ரீராம் sir, ரொம்ப நாட்களாக என் மனதில் MSV பாட்டு கேட்கும் போது கிடைக்கும் சுகம் பற்றி யாரிடமாவது சொல்ல வேண்டும் என்று நினனப்பதுண்டு. என் மனதில் இருந்த அந்த சுகம் (உணர்வு) MSV அவர்கள் unique படைப்பு என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லும் போது ரொம்ப சந்தோஷம் எனக்கு. Really Sir நீங்கள் detailing lecture கொடுக்கும் போது நான் feel பண்ணிய அந்த சுகம் சரியாகபட்டது. உலகம் எங்கும் ஒரே மொழி உள்ளம் பேசும் காதல் மொழி / பாட்டு பாடும் போது கிடைக்கும் சுகம் இன்று வரை ரிஷிகள் புயல்கள் வந்த போதும் எனக்கு கிடைக்கவில்லை. சத்தியம் MSV பாட்டுகள் தந்த சுகம் அவரோடு முடிந்து விட்டது. தெய்வீக பிறவி, கடவுளால் நமக்காக on deputation, அனுப்பி திரும்பி எடுத்து விட்டார். sir please explain every MSV song and keep it as reference to the future generations. I understood from your lecture that MSV has created music on his own to touch the soul of audiance, so all his songs should be kept in Music Universities as property of Tamil music. I liked very much his Speech flow Music has No language. We cannot force a person to speak in a particular way. His Natural Flow of Conversation blending English & Tamil is enjoyable.

A very interesting analysis by Shri sriram . As an addict and s staunch devotee of Maestro MSV , I choke when I try to describe the glorious musical bits here and there , preludes interludes ,! Beyond me !! But here I have heard this wonderful exploration by Sriram into the Masters music , just as a curtain raiser 👏👏. After listening ti this session into another dimension of his music , I am greatly enriched. 🙏🏻
