Military surplus (government issue quality) can be had all day long for about $35.-

if you have a store to go to and get it sure. however, every time have ordered something and had it mailed to me it comes in less than good condition. Holes in it Broken straps ect.

I have had and extensively hike and trained with. The Akmax Skywalker Ranger Carry System pack. After 4 years of hard use it is still amawesome, durable pack. Akmax seems to be putting out decent gear.

How well does the camouflage work while being viewed with night vision? Believe it or not, that is a feature of military equipment. It's IR signature.

I didn't buy it for IR. Just a bag to carry my lunch and other things in for work.

I hear ya. I have not had to worry about that kind of thing for over 30 years now. But in that frame of mind. I say get the real thing. I would have got surplus if I can look at it before buying. all the army surplus stores nearby went under here. The nearest one now is nearly a 2 hour drive one way. I wont do mail order on army surplus, been ripped off one to many times. So maybe the next gun show I will get lucky and find one, only God knows the future. Have a good night brother.

Thanks for the first impressions… doesn’t seem like good quality. Prices have gotten higher it seems.

@bthemedia As far as the coating and over all no the quality is not good. It serves well for me day to day take it to work bag. But for serious outdoor use get a mil surplus one.

Bruh you got played. A surplus MOLLE II rucksack in ACU is a fraction of that price, and in very good condition. You can dye it a different color because UCP is a garbage color.
