Yes it is not easy but if we follow protocols of rubber dam isolation, clean and sterile instruments and materials of gold standards things become in our control

How do you stop bleeding / achieve haemostasis? Better to use eugenol or formocresol?

Yes Doctor with damp cotton for about 30 seconds to one minute we arrest bleeding Yes Doctor according to current concept we don’t use FORMOCRESOL FOR PULPOTOMY(reference pediatric endodontics) Instead MTA is considered as GOLD STANDARD in PULPOTOMY

U can also control bleeding using Sodium Hypochlorite or an adrenaline solution

@@shifaraza6658 No Doctor we should not use sodium hypochlorite in pulp chamber as this will bleach into radicular pulp and divatalize it and for PULPOTOMY we need to keep radicular pulp vital

Once you remove Infamed pulp it will stop bleeding , sometimes hemostatic agents like aluminium chloride can help , cotton dipped in saline works best after proper removal of Inflamed tissue.

How you diagnosed that radicular pulp is not involved..if the pain or tenderness persists afterwards what is the line of treatment..thnx

There are two basis of diagnosis 1. History of pain the patient reports 2. Non involvement of furcation pathology If however after pulpotomy there is pain then we need to proceed with PULPECTOMY

Yes Dr Pulpotomy is done in Permanent Teeth too when indicated and MTA is considered as Gold Standard in Pulpotomy as per latest Research

Yes Doctor you are very correct And we wait for 48 hours for MTA to Set and then we do restoration and SSC

isn’t full pulpotomy considered as temporary treatment and once complete root formation is done we go for pulpectomy unlike partial pulpotomy in which we remove 2-3 mm of pulpal tissue in pulp chamber?

Full Pulpotomy and especially done with MTA is considered as gold standard and after pulpotomy we usually place crown over tooth so that it lasts long and exfoliates naturally So PULPOTOMY is itself a complete treatment based on diagnosis Hope you got my point doctor

As per research studies outcome will be more or less same however MTA has like 90% -98 %efficacy of forming and sealing a barrier while vali Iun hydroxide has around 85-90%

It depends on diagnosis and when it’s reversible pulpal inflammation and no furcation involvement then we plan PULPOTOMY (case history must)

For PULPOTOMY you may use but it has a higher resorption rate so it’s better to use MTA as it is considered as gold standard or you may also use biodentine

Pulpotomy is Done or indicated when there is an acute inflammation of coronal pulp and there is no involved furcation pathology. MTA is considered as Gold Standard for PULPOTOMY
