Doctor, love your work and how complete your videos are! I have a big doubt here, about the canal irrigation solution. In Brazil, we have two different lines that universities teaches us! One of them is with NaOCl during the whole endodontics treatment and EDTA only at the end. The other one combines NaOCl and Endo Gel (a clorexidine solution) for the whole treatment. Could you help me or indicate me some article or with your own experience what and why a certain irrigation solution should be used?

Thanks for your appreciation doctor Yes Doctor let’s understand the role of two irrigaants As we know NaOCl releases nascent oxygen which in result in bactericidal activity and will lead to pulp novitality and suppress the bacterial activity making canal sterile EDTA is removing the smear layer of dentin which is usually composed of dentin debris and bacterial remnants which can be flushed with normal saline and thus using EDTA will open up clear dentinal tubules. So I prefer using both intermittently as and when preparing canals

Thanks Doctor for your appreciation I will guide you on hands protaper The basic sequence for it is Sx -upto 2/3 rd WL S1- upto full working length S2- upto full working length F1- full working length for finishing of shaped canals F2- full working length for final finishing However the sequence is same for every tooth but the preparation will depend on other factors too like RECAPITULATION and Curvatures of canals Hope you got my point Doctor

If patient has complaint of pain then the problem is not crown it’s the tooth so you may have to evaluate as there are chances of reinfection and you may need to do RE RCT

It is always decided based on the status of pathology involved If the case is acute without any underlying pathology or there is need for intentional RCT then single visit is highly suitable based on skills of doctor performing the treatment And whether it’s single sitting or multiple sitting the treatment protocol is to relieve the tooth from any infected/necrosed pulp tissue and give a suitable medicaments for normal functioning of tooth Hope you got my point doctor

Yes At any situation if the tooth can be saved then it’s better to get root canal treatment rather than extraction of the tooth I will give you an example Suppose you prefer to get your tooth removed Then there will be space Then lot of problems will start arriving like 1.food accumulation in the area 2.You won’t be able to chew from that area 3. Due to one tooth missing other teeth will tilt to the available space 4. The upper or lower teeth will start to OVER ERUPT 5. Due to one side chewing your facial profile will start to change Now you will want that gap filled again So you will spend money but you know that nothing in this world can replace the natural tooth 100% Hope you got my point

If you are able to recognise the pulp tissue then it’s better that you get your tooth treated and get it saved or lately the tooth may need to be removed So pls get it checked by your dental specialist

After 3 sittings there should be no pain As in first sitting only we remove the maximum infected pulp tissue so pain should subside over a period of time Root canal treatment is done to relieve of pain and not to lead into pain So ek baar firse apne doctor se clarify kariye ki itna pain kyu ho raha hai as pain should not be there

Years ago, I had a painful root canal. Dentist was slow that day and said we can do it right now. I had constant shooting pains during the entire process. Another dentist said that was unethical for that dentist to do that. The infection was neutralizing the novacaine .... She said I should of had ten days of antibiotics first. Is this true?

@@AtoZKidsdental m too nervous about it. Actually i never ate medicines capules..etc. first time i m tasting it nd its yuck. The doctor is well qualified and best doctor of haldwani dr.gaurav joshi and i trust him what he will do, will good for me. But on same hand i m nervous that, does it pain, how it feels, does it pain when they inject anesthessia on my gums, how many sitting would be ther....etc

@@AtoZKidsdental I had this procedure for 3 teeth and never had anaesthesia during it. My doctor said that it is hard to know if your tooth is dead or not under anesthesia, so I went through the worst pain in my life when sticking the needle, when the tooth was not dead.

In maxillary first permanent molar Mesiobuccal canal (mb1)is located under the mesiobuccal cusp and mesiobuccal canal(mb2) is located mesially and more palatally 3. You can use a DG 16 probe to easily locate canal orifice 4. You may also use ultrasonic tips to explore the canal orifices

Not a good idea for the first handfile into an upper molar be a #15. Too large and you are inviting ledging to occur. Especially on the MB1,MB2 and DB canals.

I just had root canal done on the same tooth for the second time. It's my front tooth, The tooth never heal properly its still giving me slight pain when I bite down on something hard. Even with the new crown on I still hurts a bit. It's been 2 months now. I went back to dentist and all he gave me was antibiotics. Just want to know what's wrong with it

As you had your front tooth already treated for Root Canal Treatment then there shouldn’t be any pain So the issue is infection still persists Must check again with your doctor Preferably ENDODONTIST

@@AtoZKidsdental Feed your body with the right nutrients (calcium, D3, K2, magnesium, phosporous are important), avoid sugary and acidic food and drinks. Aside from brushing and flossing regularly, I also do oil pulling with coconut oil. I haven't visited dentists for more than a decade yet I have very healthy gums and teeth. A lot dentists prioritize cash over care. It's very sad dentists do very little to educate their patients is it because that if more people have naturally healthy teeth the less dentists will earn or because dentists are only trained to drill and fix bad teeth?
