Today I will show you how to install the MTD PowerCare Twin Rear Bagger for 38inch and 42inch decks. Purchased online at HomeDepot in Canada.
This unit fits perfect on a MTD Yard Machines 14.5 HP Lawn Tractor. This unit comes with a ton of bolts and parts to put together. This video might be useful for the aid of assembly. I also test the product to see how well it collects leafs. Enjoy....

(It sucked) And then I thought- "Someone a lot smarter than me I bet did a video on this bagger. And here it is. Great video, great step by step instructions, just very well done. Thank for the video and thank you for taking the time to keep people like me (OCD, ADD, ADHD and some other undiagnosed issues) from getting frustrated.

To say the manual sucked is being way too kind. They tried to use illustrations, but they were so small you needed an electron microscope.

Just an update: 18 bags of leafs and this thing works great. Suggest you put it in gear and start moving before engaging the mower blades. This thing weighs 80 LBS empty and when its full it will pack 1 of those brown recycle bags. Took 1 hour to do 18 bags. This would have taken me 7-8 hours the old way. Also made 100 bucks doing the neighbors leafs. As for fuel it took 1 full tank of gas to do both my neighbors and my lot!

Excellent video! I'm considering installing one of these on a mower I donated to a local church, and this explains how it do it all. I thought it was great that the OEM part number for the whole assembly was shown. Each part was thoroughly spotlighted, where it goes, and what fasteners to use!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

My mower did not have those first four holes for the two mounting brackets. The brackets used the bolts on the towing bar frame.

I found a couple used triple baggers cheap so now I just fill all eight bags, throw them in the back of the pickup and take them all out to the dump site to save a step.

Thanks for the video Jack. I've been looking for one on the MTD twin bagger. Question; I would like to collect the grass clipping only on the front yard of my 1 acre lot so would like to know if disabling or removing the grass catcher is a lengthy process? Thanks Steve

***** 5min slide the pipe off. Buy a mulching blad if you want fine cuts. One bolt the back cones off. One rubber latch off comes the bagger pipe. If you watch my snow blade install review you will see I left the back on;)

Is it possible to shoot the clippings into a pull behind mower cart instead of the bagger?

There is a hook to pull a trailer behind. I guess you could mod the pipe to go back. The bagger works perfect. I would not mod mine.

+gereral1 understand. I am working on a project where I need to be able to shoot it directly into the wagon. So I was just wondering if it could be done. I understand in most cases the bagger would be better.

All you would have to do is use a flex tube connected to the deck. Maybe if you call mtd you could just buy the part that goes to the deck! Then run a hose to a sealed trailer like ones that haul small stack of logs. Then attach to the back. There is a attachment to hook a small trailer to the hitch on the back. I like your idea.

Great video! Wish we would have seen it before we put ours together. 🤣 It was working fine. Dumped about four times, and now the leaves, needles etc. just stay in the first part of the shoot and clog it. Any idea why?

Raise the mower deck to 3-4 to allow mulching to prevent stuck leaves. Also, they have to be dry.

no just used standard blades. You can buy mulching kit that blocks the shoot and uses different blades.

How close is this OEM-190-180 to a model OEM-190-182?

To what I know its the deck size that determines the model. Thats it The 190 80 is 38-42 inch deck the 190 182 is 46 inch deck.

better than a rake lol. I made a bag holed video on my channel that I use every fall. Should check it out to hold those paper bags if you do not compost.
