@jaxsonbateman
@jaxsonbateman Жыл бұрын
That was a great bonus game. Though their Charbelcher deck was odd, to say the least - I run it myself for quick daily wins, and can't imagine not having every red DFC land in there in order to run Irencrag Feat (1RRR - gain RRRRRRR (7 mana), you may only cast one more spell this turn). One of the main lines of victory is turn 1 tapped land, turn 2 tapped land + 1 mana ramp (such as Skirk Prospector), turn 3 untapped land into Irencrag Feat into Charbelcher + activation. Would have been funny to see Smeargle come up against Treasure Hunt. :P

I built a Ratadrabik historic brawl combo deck. With the Boromir combo and some kind of blood artist effect you go infinite, but you can also do essentially the same thing with a nazgúl and a sac outlet and blood artist effect (or altar of dementia being a sac outlet and wincon at the same time). Really strong deck because you can have 9 nazguls and then all kinds of blood artists and sac outlets and tutors, so it is extremely easy to set up the combo as long as you commander is alive. Also build some value stuff in it with ring tempting and non infinite sac shenanigans. Probably the strongest historic deck I built so far!

You can get an infinite mill with shelob and smeagol and Dunedin rangers as well. Use something like viridian longbow to kill both smeagol and the rangers to turn them into sandwiches. No longer creatures, they can't be your ringbearer, so now sac Shelob then drop a land. Smeagol's ability and the rangers' will each cause the other's to trigger over and over again until all your enemies are milled out.
@MetaKaios
@MetaKaios Жыл бұрын
'One with the Stars' or 'Swift Reconfiguration' also works as an alternative to Shelob, but you'd need two copies. I think 'Reezug, the Bonecobbler' is the only option that is only a 3-card combo (rather than 4 or more) and doesn't cost way too much mana. (It's only on Arena, though. But Arena doesn't have Viridian Longbow or Swift Reconfiguration, anyway.)
@pallen2645
@pallen2645 Жыл бұрын
@@MetaKaios True, there are other ways to stop being a creature. But I came up with this as a sneaky wincon for a shelob commander deck, and both those options are in the wrong colors (and I'd need both, because two creatures would need to be decreatured). And both cards arent good for much outside the combo. But Shelob already wants a viridian longbow. Smeagol and the rangers are already good ramp in the context of the deck. Since those are cards you want anyway, knowing how to use them to mill out your enemies and close the game is just free knowledge.
