I am finally getting sent for an MRI to "rule out" MS. I have been trying to get doctors to take my symptoms seriously for years. Brain fog is so bad. I forget words all the time or names, things i shouldnt forget. Sometimes my words come out jumbled or i say the wrong word. Usually its a related word, but not the right one. Its like my brain couldn't find the right one and gave me the closest one it ciuld find in the moment. I also do things pn "auto pilot". What i mean by this is that sometimes i do something out of habit and not what I actually meant to do generally when im distracted or not relay focused on what im doing. This happens alot when driving.

Hi there- yessss I do forget the simplest words sometimes… they usually eventually come to me or my husband or boys say the word for me.. ugh! It’s stinks and you can see the word & know what you want to say but it sometimes doesn’t come soon enough.:( I definitely also pause sometimes when telling a story much to the impatience of my family occasionally. Yep, it’s weird, but oh well who cares… It’s like dropping things sometimes for no reason?! Stay well & love from warm Colo

I also wake up out of deep sleep choking and not being able to swallow sometimes.. I'm glad you shared this Sara.. Didn't know it could be from my MS.. God Bless and keep fighting!!

One morning about 10 years ago I stopped by to feed our horses as I was running to work. I did it every day. As I approached the door one of our barn cats sprinted out to meet me and when I bent down to pet her I said "aren't you a pretty pretty kitty" but I couldn't pronounce hard T's or K's so it came out pretty garbled! She didn't mind but on my way to work I tried other words and those two sounds weren't being formed correctly. I called my neuro and the MRIs showed new activity. I was put on the steroid treatments although the speech issue only bothered me for a couple of days. It was strange- I just avoided talking too much! very hard for me!

I am really bad with names, especially when being put on the spot I forget everything. The swallowing thing is definitely an MS symptom and my MS nurse is actually referring me to a specialist, as it happens every so often. I've noticed if I have a flare up my mumbling gets worse, and I stutter sometimes. I also tend to trail off when talking sometimes which I don't even notice, but others do as it happens more often then I think. Just found your channel . I suffer from AS, MS, and Bells Palsy.

Hello, Sarah. I married the woman of my dreams who just so happened to be diagnosed with MS years before we met. I’d like guidance on how to get her prescribed for the Bioness L300. I’d also appreciate any help in making me a better partner to support her. I do struggle sometimes as I’m very active and athletic. I just want to help her as much as possible but I don’t know where to start

Thank you so much for your comments!! I will have to do a video on support from a loved one because that is such a good idea!! I will have to ask my husband because he is so supportive and I don’t think I even realize all that he does!! For the Bioness have her ask her neurologist that she wants to try one then they will get one for her to try and see how it goes before having to buy one. If not the numerologist then a physical therapist.

Yes! My family understands and finishes my sentences when I trail off. They get it because they live with me. I can't do well when placed on the spot or have too many conversations where I am supposed to be the one who knows how to solve something. I do better to write a letter than talk on the phone. My mind has the right words but they get lost when I try to talk. This is just part of my life. Names can take a long time coming back to me. Oh, I forgot about the swallowing. Several years ago I had this problem so went to a nurse practitioner. She sent me to the Ear Mose Throat specialist who ran the scope down my sinus. All was fine, but it really scared me. The nurse gave me steroids which calmed everything down.
