To the people talking about toll Bandra worli sea link is 80rs one way and it's 5.6km this is 16km in sea and 22 km total and toll is 250. Per km still cheaper than BWSL. There will be monthly passes and return discount and all most probably which will reduce toll cost for daily commuters. Edit the toll is 200 one way. 300 round trip. 12000rs monthly pass for cars.

It's name is atal setu only in everyday use people will call it atal setu only. Like mumbai pune expressway is Yashwantrao chavan mumbai pune expressway but everyone calls it Mum-pune expressway Mumbai nagpur exp is called hindu hriday samrat balasaheb Thackeray maharashtra samruddhi mahamarg but everyone calls it just samruddhi mahamarg. Same way this will either be MTHL or atal setu

It's mainly useful for the South Mumbai people who being located at last southern tip of Mumbai spend too much time to travel to Suburbs and Navi Mumbai area incl. many expressway and Highways.

🤦🏻 So commoners don't pay taxes. They need to pay additional taxes in the form of a toll to navigate. A toll is present in every entry point to Mumbai. Shouldn't it be the government's duty to provide basic services to commoners as they pay taxes ? Shouldn't a toll-free road be a part of the taxpayers money ? Tolls should only be applicable for an alternative road that provides a better connectivity and that for a time till the cost is recovered, not for lifetime. And grow up, commoners do afford private vehicles. Having a private vehicle doesn't put someone out of the category of commoner. @@dheerajpimoli9539

@@ripper7834One should be able to afford it. Just asking people use other route doesn't solve the problem. The infra should be made considering all people with cars should be able to afford it. And Mumbai runs on rails mostly that's why staying in Mumbai suburbs is affordable to Middle and lower class. With such high infra it is just adding to higher living expenses. An average salaried person cannot afford in and out of this expense. No sane person would spend that much on the commute. It does matter how much the commute costs.

Do a cost analysis man,.. ok now normal commuters s using old road ,, expected time 2 hours , new road cuts travel time to 20minutes, 1 hour 40 minutes saved , so what would be expected fuel for one hour 40 minutes, minimum 5-6 ltrs of petrol?? Considering its cost it comes up to 500-60 rs... Isn't 250 + let's say max one to one and half litre... Max 400 ...aren't you saving 100-200rs...?? This is rough estimate , definitely saving will be more in long run..and what about the time, it's saving you 1hour and 40 minutes,,, you're productive in that time right.. definitely a win win situation

@@gohan12991 dude taxes are meant maintain normal roads man...this isn't your ordinary road, it' high efficient and requires maintenance...hence the toll...have you ever been on a expressway ? Do you think bikes can maintain 100kmph consistently and safely ? It'll be a hindrance to other cars ...safety is Compromised.. you know how bike riders ride...most of them don't have basic riding knowledge...think before you say something...

Navi Mumbai to JNPT alone is 37 min as per Google Maps where as all the way to Sewri by current route is only 45 min. From JNPT exit on the Mumbai Pune Expressway to JNPT is 43 min and all the way to Sewri is 63 min by current route. What am I missing😢!?

The cut down on travel is for very few ie those who stay close to Ulwe/Uran/Panvel. For rest of Navi Mumbai ie Seawoods- Vashi - Airoli, this bridge makes very little difference.

@@rakmanbaba I guess time saved from some places in Ulwe/Panvel might be around 40 mins. As for the toll it's to recover the investment. But yeah, the bridge for now is not going to make much difference to most commuters of Navi Mumbai. The whole travel time cut down is unfortunately applicable only for very few % of the commuters.

Will never achieve the planned 70k vehicles /day capacity and the tax payer will keep subsidisijg for generations.However, every news agency appears to have bee mandated to peddle 2hr to 20 min tag line. Another misleading election time propaganda!
