We took Murder Nova to the FuelTech USA in Ball Ground, GA to do some tuning on the dyno. The result was over 3200rwhp from the 482ci twin turbo small block! www.themurdernova.com

So he can pull almost 900 HP out of it and still run 4.12 in the eighth...that's insane. Yep, I'm just running around on my low boost setting today...only making 2300 to the tires. That's just crazy.

@@bigboreracing356 no they don't, lol. The dyno has nothing to do with it. It's about the car. There's plenty of normal cars that go on a hub dyno and the tuner just sits in it in street clothes. But when your putting a car on there that's pushing 3k HP and god forbid something blows up, you need way more protection than when you have a 200 HP Honda on it.

This shows exactly how big of a difference a properly tuned car make. To go from 2345 RWHP to 3205 RWHP is a massive difference. Almost a 900HP gain. The first car I built was a 1989 Mustang GT. That was back in 1997. At the time if you had a 500rwhp car you were 1 of the fastet cars on the street. 500HP was the big thing. I had about 325rwhp and did pretty well on the streets. I got rid of it several years later after I was married and wanted to build a house. We've all made that sacrifice. Then in 2009 I was really getting the fever again so I bought a 1995 Mustang Cobra with a built 306 and Vortech supercharger. Of course the guy wasnt completely honest about how much the wngine had been run and a few other things. It blew a head gasket 2 days after buying it and the fuel pressure kept dropping. He did mention to always keep an eye on fuel cuz it could blow the head gaskets. That wasnt why the gasket blew. The block had different machine work on it than the heads. The older style machine was used on the block so it wasnt glossy smooth. He used the head gaskets that woukd basically allow it to burp or however that worked and should have used the stock style. With the block not being so smooth would catch the gasket and blow it. I might not be explaing it exactly right but you hardcore guys know what I mean. Put stock haskets on a no more issues. Now the fuel pressure kept dropping because there were 2 fuel pumps. 1 in tank and 1 out. They tapped of stock wirung fir 2nd pump. That wire was barely enough for 1 let alone 2. So we ran 2 new wires with 2 relays for the pumps. When I talked to the former owner he was very curious all of a sudden when I brought up fixing the fuel problem that he never told me about. He asked what was the problem because the could never figure it out. Now I had the guy tuning the car in and the dyno was nicknamed the heartbreaker because everyone that came in claimed they had 500HP and alot didnt even have that at the flywheel. I test drove the car before I bought and thought it would have the 525hp this guy claimed and it hit 498rwhp and 420tq. Now the car rzn good but still had some issues in mid ranges. We did a compression test. All cylinders had 165-170 except 1 which was 110s. I cant remember exactly. At that point I said eff putting any money into that engine now. I was gonna wait until the following summer to start building what I wanted but oerfect excuse with wife to start. So order a Dart block and ordered all forged 347 stroker kit. I didnt want to do something a little different so left standard bore. I had a 342 cubic inch stroker. Brought it back to the dyno with new setup. Old 306 made 498rwhp and 420tq on 13lbs of boost. New setup made 489rwhp and 483tq on only 6lbs of boost. Huge difference in the performance of the car. I could have went smaller pulley for more boost but since it ran so much better and was only gonna gain roughly 50hp more because of the fuel system. I left it for now. I was gonna ship off the S trim and have it converted to a T trim to be able to get riughly 20lbs of boost out of it. While that was off I was going to swap in a whole new fuel setup with bigger lines, sumped tank, bigger injectors, fuel pump and all to handle up to 1500hp. That would have got me over 700rwhp with the supercharger maxed out. Then start a little later on with bigger heads, intake and turbo🤤. My goal was 1000RWHP +.BUT I ended up having an accident that put me in a wheelchair so the car had to be sold. 500rwhp now is now every other hopped up car. You gotta be in 1000hp range to be up there now. Sorry for rambling on.

It was in the middle of nowhere, miles of straight roads, you could see cars comming, they could never catch us "racing" because we could see em comming for miles. Those days are gone, now thousands of h.p. cars, impounding cars that are just insanely overpowered for the street, jail time, not fun anymore, my car sits collecting dust, the fun days of weekend street racing are over for the average guy.. If they would keep it at the track maybe law enforcement wouldn't have to create such extreme measures, Oh well I quess...
