True Crime: Elliot Rodger was a narcissist, resentful at his failiure to lose his virginity. And as his delusions on women and the world continued to worsen into adulthood, he decided that the only way he could exact revenge, was through total anarchy. We're looking into the videos of Elliot Rodger, the warning signs, and ultimately, the plan that lead to the tragic loss of his six victims.

We did it! Thank you for 100K! I’ve left a small announcement at the end. This was a very creepy case to visit, Elliot Rodger was beyond deluded. His own vlogs really proved his own demeanour. If you’re in a rush, the story picks up very quickly from 11:45 onwards. What do you think of the case of Elliot Rodger? Have a pleasant week all! - Adrian

I'm not going to lie, I get some sort of sick satisfaction knowing this dude got so angry over not being able to get laid that he went on a killing spree to get revenge........and is then promptly labeled "The killer virgin" for the rest of time. I don't think his actions accomplished what he thought they were going to.

I'm not going to defend a sociopath mass murderer. I'm just saying we live in 2024 and there are still people who believe that man is the hunter, woman is flesh, and being rich automatically precludes being sad or mentally ill. Elliot sounds a lot like one of my college housemates. A rich kid, with more things than I could ever imagine having in life, yet with such an unbearable personality thinking he was owed everything. He got suspended for trying to force a girl to kiss him, and then posted online how women owed him sex/relationships. He’s now been cut off financially, not going to uni, and everyone hates him. Funny that

This guy was in pain. I can feel his hopelessness and despondency. I grew up in a family with parents that had zero social skills. When I asked my Mom how to make friends she told me to go to the library and find a book on it (I did, "It's So Much Work To Be Your Friend"). I ultimately got help in the form of a therapist who took the time to teach me social skills. My life and attitude did a 180. I went from angry bitter lost and alone to happy and content with a good job and social life. Not everyone gets the help they need.

You know the guys who complain about women not liking them and they start getting very angry and hateful towards them if women reject them . These guys were never nice in the first place , they played a role of being "nice guy" in order to get sex. Real good guys are nice and kind becouse they don't pretend and truthful . If women don't like them , they just move on like a normal person.

@@mikemoggerson6651 you know everything you’re saying is bullshit right? It’s very easy to point out examples like Rodger’s while ignoring the many people just like him who are in thriving relationships. It’s very easy to attribute personal failings to things out of one’s control (race, body frame, chin proportions, etc) as a shallow excuse to ignore the genuine controllable factors that lead to successful relationships (humor, transparency, consistently, etc). Elliot’s shitty personality was not an anomaly. He wasn’t well. He’s speaking cartoonishly eloquent in an attempt to feign intelligence. His final video is riddled with grand statements that he thinks others will find cool. He spent his whole life wanting to be “cool”, and he couldn’t stop, even when he was alone. He wanted to speak like an “alpha male”. He behaved this way because of ideas just like the ones you are spreading, JT. He was not well. You don’t sound well either. The world is unfair, it is chaotic. There are no easy answers to complicated things like attraction, personality, or assertiveness. If you feel like there are, and if you are viewing others or yourself as inferior for any reasons, I ask you to look around at this chaotic world and see the millions of examples that break these easy patterns your mind has built up. Get well and seek help please.

@@selfReferencinDox while his actions are abhorrent and unforgivable, his struggle is relatable for many including me. There are millions of socially inept anxious people out there, that just long for meaningful relationships, especially in their teens/twenties. The feeling that you don’t matter and that no one cares for you might be the single most destructive emotion that humans can perceive. I think that is a big part of why Eliot’s case is so famous and talked about. In a weird way, he is the embodiment of the idea of loneliness while surrounded by people. I remember MumkyJohnses videos on him. Mumky and his fans were basically an army of people, who at one point where on their way to become like Elliot, but were able to grow past that phase and dealt with that emotion by laughing at its own absurdity.

@listenmystories And just who do you think runs those robots? And who do you think reviews those files? And who. You think broadcasts that to the public? Sentient beings maybe? When you weaponize a surrender flag, weaponize humanitarian crisis cargo, kill unarmed and surrendered generals, ext, ext, even if it's against robots what do you think sees that? People. And when they figure out that you've doing all that s***, all you've done is just set the new standard and make what little ethics of war has meaningless. Now you may not think that's a big deal, but who do you think suffers as a result? All those innocent people caught in the cross fire. That's how you go from war to genocide. And shocker the war crime commiting Anakin Skywalker turned into a genocidal maniac. And that last sentence is the most concerning thing you've said. You have just stated that it is perfectly okay in your eyes to wipe an entire group of people off the map if they disagree with your personal world view. That's a horrific stance to have.
@robinmartin2818
@robinmartin2818 3 ай бұрын
@listenmystories it's a horrifying stance you have right there. First of all, in the field it may only be robots but who do you think deploys, makes, and reviews those robots memories, living creatures. When Anakin does things like weaponize a surrender flag, using Aid and relief ship to bypass a blockade, and my personal favorite, weaponizing civilians, all he does is just set a new standard that it's okay to disregard what little boundaries are there. The Geneva convention isn't there because it's morally right, it's there to prevent your actions from biting you in the a**. Say for example when you weaponize a surrender flag all you've shown is that when you need to surrender, people won't value that word because you've proven you won't stop when they asked. When you weaponize civilians, all you've ensured is that in the next war people will just kill civilians at random for the fear that they'll be used militarily, when you weaponize Aid and relief efforts all you've done is ensure that in the next war, those ships will be just shot down mercilessly. So on and so on. Also saying that it's not a war crime just because they are a sith is horrifying. You are saying that's nothing is too far against people you politically and ideologically disagree with. The reason why that's illegal in this world is because people won't ever stop if given free reign to kill those they classify as an "other" group. Even if humans did kill all in that category they would just find a new target. Usually a minority.

The only difference is I TRIED, and kept TRYING, beyond just buying a couple new outfits to look better (that's where Elliot stopped). I went out. Met and kept friends. Joined as many social events as I could. I felt sorry for myself and had similar self-pity thoughts, but never once did I think about projecting my misfortune onto others. On top of all that, I was honest with my expectations. Elliot wanted 10/10s. That is not how life works. He never once lowered his expectations. Zuckerberg created a rating system for girls...A Hot or Not...Rating system, when he couldn't even get a Date! Elliott had wealthy parents, who gave him a BMW, but he didn't get a major government contract...like Zuckerberg got from his moms contract work in psychology. Same sociopathic and narcissistic behaviors that many people with autism have. Hate for normal society because they know they are Abnormal. They lack of Normal social skills and display sociopathic behavior. Just basic facts. Children with Downs syndrome, or other disabilities don't display this behavior. Lack of attachment is Standard for Autism.

They want connexion. Someone to be complicit and laugh with. Looks aren’t everything. Just like men say « don’t stick it in crazy » ; women don’t like it when they smell something definitely is off. Except there are way more stories of men killing women than the other way around. Understanding women isn’t that difficult. You gotta listen to them. Not hear, not judge or try to correct them, simply listen and walk a mile in their shoes. And that’d go a looong way towards bettering the situation. Also, think about asking « normal, everyday girls ». Not celebs or fixating on the queen bees.

I can tell you exactly what was wrong with him, I have felt his exact emotions at some points in my life, sometimes people just have weird ways of calling out for help in hard times, though I’m lucky that I have a little bit more control of my emotions than he did, at one point he probably was a good well behaved boy, who tried to fit in, but he got showed just how hard life is and rage took over him, and he started to hate people as he got older, as we get older, you will eventually have utter loneliness in your life, but I honestly think it’s the mean selfish world we live in, everyone wants the best of the best or it’s nothing, everyone is searching for something else that’s better, instead of what’s already in front of them, phones and social media have only accelerated these things into a hyper state of societal depression and corruption beyond human comprehension, and It is taking a huge toll on our youth today, just like Elliot Roger, people have their breaking point and then we just snap and go into deep state of rage and insanity that is hard to describe , people get tired of improving all the time and then having nothing to show for it, we strive for connections and then get showed why we had anger in the first place
