Fun Fact: Muse made this song as a joke and didnt expect it to kick off like this. But also listen to this song Live At Rome Olmpyic Stadium, this band is amazing live, you wont regret it

Come on. They didn't make one of their best songs "as a joke". Probably the video, yes, but the song no. Especially since : 1. It's inspired by a song made by the leader's father's band. 2. It a single in one of their most popular albums.

muse is one of those bands that can't seem to make a bad song. even their b-sides are much better than most bands. you really need to see footage of them live to appreciate them though. make the next one a live performance. sorry for the lack of caps, my shift key isn't working.

You need to watch this song live at Rome Olympic Stadium. Muse are by far one of the best live bands out there. Other songs such as hysteria (amazing bass line), butterflies and hurricanes, new born and plug in baby are great songs to kick-start your muse journey

Don't forget the Time Is Running Out music video, which is a straight-up tribute to Kubrick's Dr Strangelove. And there were a ton of classic sci-fi references in this Knights of Cydonia video as well, from kung fu exploitation movies of the 70s to Buck Rogers, the Star Wars Cantina, the Lone Ranger, Planet of the Apes, Mad Max, Heavy Metal (the French fanzine), etc.

this is the band that speaks to me above all others. my flesh and blood responds to their sounds like life itself. 3 men of Queen like skill making tracks that set my brain cells on fire. I believe one of Queen also has high respect for them.

This song has always been hilarious, and pretty good to be honest, to me but I would love it if you would try something else maybe like the smashing Pumpkins: 90s rock band or the red hot chili peppers: 80s up to today funk/alternative rock band. Love this song! Also on the terms of the death penalty you were talking about briefly, there are many innocent people placed into prison as well and if we were gung go on putting death row inmates down we ultimately end up killing innocent people. So why let other peoples horrible actions make all of us taxpayers murderers? Get rid of the drug war, make it a health issue, and empty the prisons of these individuals who sre there due to nonviolent drug charges. We will have more than enough room for the harsher criminals for life.

Matthew Bellamy's father George played rhytm guitar in The Tornados. They had a major hit called Telstar. When listening to that one you probably see where Matthew got the inspiration for Knights of Cydonia

The video to the song is quite amusing, anyone growing up in the 80s in the UK will probably know a lot of the references to TV shows of the 70s and 80s. I think the main references are spaghetti westerns (Clint Eastwood), Buck Rogers, Kung Fu, Battlestar Galactica and probably some others too.

Conversation got deep late in the video. The only way I'd ever kill someone is if I absolutely had to savagely defend myself from someone attacking me... and if whatever I did to the attacker actually ended up killing them, that would be accidental.
