Oh Lordy. This is such an emotional roller coaster. He uses Eastern ululation, and Western runs along with super human breath control to combine into one of the most moving covers I have ever witnessed.

One thing to notice, it took me a few times seeing it, but that last bit, where he goes from low to high and then comes back down with the runs . . . . that is ONE BREATH.

The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. The guy who looks like Adam Driver actually wrote this song and had a hit in Russia with it with his old band A-Studio. They were doing a tribute to a band member who had passed. It was at this concert that the composer Igor Krutoy stood and applauded and began their collaboration.

Another great reaction! I also enjoy Dimash singing this style of music. Some of Dimash's songs are similar at times, but each are unique in one form or another. There is always that "something" that sets them apart. A similar sounding song to this one, but obviously different, is Love is Like a Dream. It's (probably?) my favorite Dimash song. It has a little bit of everything in it, and I believe you are really going to enjoy it.

The band he's performing with here, A Studio, is from Kazakhstan, and as others have said, "Adam Driver" is the composer of the song, Baygali Serkebaev (he does look like Adam..lol). The original front man for the group was Batyrkhan Shukenov, who passed away 3 years prior to this performance. Dimash has said that Shukenov is one of his favorite artists and that he listens to him a lot, so I imagine he felt very privileged to be able to do this arrangement with the band, which I would believe is part of the connection he feels to the song. I was shocked that you didn't say anything about the fact that Dimash ended the song with one breath for 23 seconds. If you watch the audience after the song is finished you will see a tall bald man in a white shirt giving Dimash a standing ovation. That was the first time he saw and heard Dimash and he was Igor Krutoy who knew he had found the artist he wanted to work with and he has reworked his existing songs and composed new ones for Dimash. You will see him a lot playing piano on stage with Dimash.

After your first pause the sound has a delay which makes it sound really peculiar, not 8n a good way. Dont know if you can sort this out in future videos, hope so. Dimash is a vocal master, especially when he does his native sounds. He is the best of the best, it cannot be denied. Any sounds he sings are always for the benefit of the song. Just in case you are not sure if he sings in English, he does, Queen's Show Must Go On is a good start (2017, his English has improved since then) Also Adagio, Hello (Lionel Ritchie cover) and Screaming which is a Music Video. Once you see Screaming, find the Idol hits version for a little extra surprise..... Then once you've heard a few of those, you MIGHT be ready for Ogni Pietra (Olympico) which, so far, his masterpiece, at least IMO. I'd reckon you could count on 1 hand, singers who could pull off what he does in that!
