Thank you again for your reaction! He was invited to be a competitor in Singer 2017, as an experiment for the show. Yes, he dominated, and was an overnight sensation after his first performance, but did take second place. This was from Singer 2018, he was invited back to be a guest singer for one of the episodes. When you spoke of bringing in the cultural spin into the song I thought, just wait. :) He does have a way of taking a song and making it entirely his own. So far it has been difficult to find something he "sucks" at, or struggles with. He can pick up a new instrument and within minutes he figures out how to play it. He does say he doesn't cook, and it's been seen that he has difficulty keeping his shoelaces tied. If either of those things count as "sucking", or struggling with, then there you have it. Hi! I really enjoy your reaction video! Thank you for doing Dimash songs! About challenge he faced... anything I can think of is "Daybreak" Singer 2017 version. Dimash had throat inflammation, and had to take injections. It should be able to consider as "struggle." ... Well, he still killed the song!! I wouldn't have noticed he wasn't well unless it was told in behind the scenes. FYI, the song itself is very sad; about child losing parents to a cable car accident (true story).

You could try The Show Must Go On by Queen, this was, I believe, Dimash's first English song in the I Am A Singer contest and you could criticise his english pronounciation on that one (but be careful we Dears are very protective 💥) BUT musically he will blow you away again as it is a brilliant cover. If you react to Ogni Pietra, you will hear a long portion in the lower ranges, Baritone and Tenor. He has a beautiful soothing low voice. Also Ti Amo Cosi, an absolutely gorgeous trio with Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian, where he has the man role in the low range. Or, for the opposite, Dina dance Bastau, where he navigates effortlessly (it seems), between super high and super low. Dimash is a master degree singer with a perfect musical education and practising for years and years. He will never try any song he will struggle with. He will first adapt himself and manupulate his techniques for that song then let us watch him. So nevermind, don't try to find that song.

IMO Uptown funk from Singer 2017 is the only song he was struggling with (and I'm not fond of his MJ covers either tbh) but it was mainly because of his english. Thankfully, his English has gotten better now.

The I am a singer competition of 2017 is over. He was asked to be a quest for the opening of Singer 2018 . As far as being challenged he felt that Daybreak difficult because of the subject matter. Wo ani means I love you in Chinese. You should watch Daybreak it's emotional.

He really struggled once. He struggled with the English language in his Show Must Go On performance 😄 that was on Singer 17, a year before Hello. It was his second English perfrmance ever (after Uptown Funk 😄 in which he had the same problems (he was told to sing Uptown Funk, it wasn't his choice...) but that one is not really interesting technically, just some mainstream party music 😄 ) and he only had a few days to prepare Show Must Go On, and additionally had a slight cold, which is why he didn't rehearse it that often). He couldn't speak English back then and just learned the lyrics by heart phonetically, he just tried to remember what it sounded like to him. The result was sth that wasn't reaaally English 😄 lol but it was cute, his fans just called it "Dinglish". 😄 Buuur technically it was a phenomenal performance 😊 You may check it out/react to it 😊 not many voice/music teachers react to Show Must Go On these days (most only react to SOS, Opera 2, The Diva Dance (Bastau concert) from 2017 and then jump to his newer performances). Dimash has sung in 12 different languages, he speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, has pretty good English now and can understand a lot of Mandarin although he speaks it only a little. He is a highly intelligent young man ❤ this competition is for invited, highly successful musicians, mostly chinese, in fact Dimash was the only foreigner, being an unknown to them 22 year old from Kazakhstan who was invited as a wildcard by the producer who saw him sing for the presidents of China and Kazakhstan and was so impressed by him. Dimash couldnt speak any Chinese but soon made friends with all the other competitors who being much older took him under their wings. They were all astonished at his voice and mesmerising stage presence. After his first song on the contest, S.O.S was broadcast on TV, he woke up next morning to find he wasnt allowed out without bodyguards, he asked why and was shown that his Weibo account, that's Chinese Instagram, had 600 million new fans. ❤ carry on and watch Confesser, he switches for Mandarin to Italian in that one ❤ Dimash doesn't struggle with a thing, he is a vocal master. He has trained from 5 years old, seriously trained and he is still only 25 💖

Nobody should judge Dimash for his English as it is NOT his mother tongue! As for his old performances of English and French (SOS) songs/covers Dimash sang them just for the Song Contest (I am Singer in China). If Dimash ever struggled with a performance, the evidence has been shot, stabbed, dismembered, and dropped down an abandoned mine shaft. He has trained HARD for over twenty years, and he has a rep for still working extremely hard on his performances. Add that to his innate gifts, we just have to accept the fact that he is genuinely unique (and truly modest, and generous, and authentically nice, and might also walk on water someday, if he ever cares enough to try).
