Well, you're the first person I've seen who knew what the instrument was! It is indeed the Qobyz but it's a traditional instrument of Kazakhstan which is where Dimash comes from. He has a 7.2 octave range and has sung in 14 different languages including Kazakh, English, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese and Spanish. He's classically trained and has a degree in vocals, a master's in composition and is currently doing his PhD alongside recording, touring the world, recording monumental music videos and doing the odd modelling job or public appearance. He sings everything from Opera to Rap and if you're going to go further down the rabbit hole I would definitely recommend SOS, especially the 2021 version from his online concert he did during the pandemic. It's the song that shot him to stardom in China where he appeared in a show called I Am Singer which is a vocal competition for established artists.

Hey, hey, take it easy bro! I am also a huge fan of Dimash, but there is no need to inflate quantitative records. Dimash does not need your advertising. As for recommendations, of course, everyone has their own preferences, but regarding the performance of SOS, it seems to me that the Belarusian version (Slavianski Bazaar) is the best. IMHO.

You just fell down a magical rabbit hole and there's no going back, Sir. Please do react to more of Dimash's performances, and he will take you on a magical journey. He is the best musician/actor/humanitarian in the world. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and integrates cultural music and instruments into many of his songs. He also sings songs with deep historical and spiritual meaning. He calls his fans "dears", and we absolutely love him with all our hearts. I hope you enjoy your journey, SIr. It will be wonderful to have you among us. And, I have no doubts you will become a "dear" before you blink an eye.

You have made the fatal error of asking if we know of any more of his songs😃You will soon be inundated with the names of many many wonderful and fascinating songs to react to ! Dimash is from Kazakhstan and has been studying music since he was 5 years old. I will let the others recommend songs for now. Oh, by the way, you did this reaction perfectly! You paused at the end of phrases instead of in the middle of a word and went back a bit when you re-started. You also went back and listened to the really amazing bits (and we always are happy to hear them over again and to see someone appreciate them enough to do this.)! I look forward to watching you react to many more Dimash songs!

About He is famous for having an unusually wide vocal range and his ability to sing in more than fifteen languages. Dimash was born Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 24th of May, 1994. When he was only five years old, Dimash began taking vocal and piano lessons at the children's section of the Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He continued his training throughout his school years and eventually attended the music institute of K. Zhubanov University. He graduated in 2014 with a classical music degree centred on vocal ability. He continued his musical education by studying contemporary music Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana. He successfully received a Master's degree in Composition and was even recommended for the PhD program. Throughout his time at university, Dimash entered four major singing competitions in Kazakhstan. He won the National Zhas Kanat Contest with a perfect score of 180 out of 180, which was unprecedented in the competition's history. In December 2014, he was awarded a laureate of the State Youth Prize Daryn. He released his first album in China the same year, and it went platinum in thirty-seven seconds! Vocal range and style His sung range expands 6-7 octaves and 2 semitones, from C2 to C6 to F♯6 and, finally, D8. Holy cow alright! Go down the Dimash rabbit hole - you won’t be disappointed - he will give you something mind blowingly different every time. There’s always more - unbelievable talent, voice, stage presence. This is just one facet of the talent of Dimash - he sings in 15 different languages (2 fluently - his native Kazakh and Russian) and he has good English, otherwise lyrics are learned phonetically - an incredible talent in itself. He is a skilled musician, plays 7 instruments, is a composer, director, producer, actor, model, academic (2 degrees including a masters in classical bel canto/jazz vocals, composition and currently undertaking his Doctorate in Musicology), businessman, humanitarian and patriot. On top of that he is as humble as he is talented. His versatility across most genres is amazing. The music for Stranger was composed by the pianist in this video, one Igor Krutoy, Ukrainian/Russian composer, producer, promoter - another musical genius who came out of retirement to write music ad collaborate with Dimash. Here are some other must watch of their collaborations - Ave Maria, Love is like a Dream, Love of Tired Swans, Your Love, Olympico, Know, Passione, Okay (MV). Liked and subbed for more Dimash. You were Dimashified. You may have been shocked by Dimash but I was shocked by you finding Dimash by your first listen being stranger. This one is a heavy song to be introduced to Dimash by. Everything he does outdoes the one before. He has so much live stag material that it will freak you out. Sometimes he has to do mic tricks so that people can know that this stuff really is live. Wikipedia has his career as starting at age 2 with two professional parents introducing him to the stage and his career at th3 music academy at the university starting at age 5 when his grandmother found he had perfect pitch and at five he also one his first piano contest. You did not stumble on an ordinary person or singer. Dimash is a maestro vocalist practicing with or without a vocal coach 3 hours a day. He was a child prodigy and still is an adult prodigy. Starting his career earlier than his two idols Michael Jackson and Freddy Mercury who both abused their bodies in different ways and Michael had surgery to keep his voice high and Freddy had beers lined up on the piano on stage while he performed and slept with anything that moved without protection. Dimash is clean and and a humble kind shy person not putting himself further than those he performs with. He has so many talents that we have to be thankful that we’re living in the century of Dimash, the vocalist in a hundred years. This was 5 octaves not 4 no offense. Dimash sings in every register and can sing each note with more than 10 techniques.

Dimash is THE greatest vocalist of ALL time! The music was composed by famous billionaire Russian composer/music mogul (on piano) Igor Krutoy. Igor came out of retirement in 2018 to work with and compose for Dimash when he first heard him sing in 2018. This is Krutoy’s annual competition for singers New Wave in Russia. Dimash was a guest here in 2021 and he was also one of the judges. This was the premier performance of this song. However Dimash has sung it very differently since then, every performance is incredibly amazing! Dimash is also a great composer. He has just released his latest composition masterpiece The Story of One Sky, a music video 13 mins and 40 secs long (it cost Dimash over 7,000,000 USD, the most expensive MV ever created) Dimash also acted in the MV and he wrote the screen play. It is truly a work of art, (although it’s extremely harrowing)…. Dimash is also a multi-instrumentalist (7 instruments), he plays really well! He’s 28 years old and has been attending music school since he was 5. He has 2 degrees, Classical and Contemporary vocals, a Masters in Composition (for which he received a perfect score) and he’s currently coming to the end of his Doctorate in Musicality and I’m sure his latest masterpiece The Story of One Sky will go towards that! He sings in all genres from Opera to Rock to Pop to Folk to Rap! Brilliant in all! He’s also a great dancer and actor! Pretty much a genius you could say! He’s also extremely humble and respectful. Thanks be to God that Dimash won’t sign a contract with the West, because no doubt they would soon knock that behaviour out of him! Dimash calls his fans Dears, because we are extremely dear to him. Shawka, Dimash has a 6+ octave range and many reactors have acknowledged he is probably the best singer on the planet and you can understand why. He can cross all genre's. He has been schooled since age of 5 and did not pursue a career in opera since he wanted to introduce to his "Dears" more than his classical training. His genius and artistry are self evident. He is his own label so he is not captive to corporate design and able to flourish in his creativity. As you get to know him, he is most humble paying deep respect to his parents (professional singers), family, tradition and homage to his country. He is internationally known in over 110 countries and his concerts (sold out) are another dimension looking like the UN. He is a man of peace and very loyal to his Dears (fans). The Singer series from China in 2017 began with SOS in French was a wild card in a professional free for all competition. Over 600 million Chinese made him a superstar overnight. Sinful Passion is another introduction to his range and timbre. Love is like a Dream is a deep frye building to a vocal level some called angelic. Very captivating. There are many more to enjoy and each can stand on its own. Many I consider a masterpiece, but each to his own. His videos are like short films and pull you in. Go to his channel on YT and the number of hits will be your guideposts on your journey down the rabbit hole. Buckle up and hold on tight. It is life changing to say the least. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, an Asian country. He often uses traditional instruments, like the Qobyz, and sounds from his native culture. The Qobyz is also used in Turkish culture.

Oh yes, we certainly enjoy what we saw, and you too. Welcome to the wonder world of Dimash. Lots of catching up to do, so much of him on YT. I have been a Dear since 2019 and listen to Dimash constantly, like hours every day. Also going to my first concert in Malaysia in June. His concerts are usually almost 3 hours long.

That is the premiere of this song: Maestro Igor Krutoy and Dimash Qudaibergen have created the really unique song in English with enchanting oriental melodies. “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience... Stranger is an epic song with touches of medieval, Gregorian and even a march together. I love Dimash’s different voice textures specially the Middle East vibes in those riffs and runs 🎤❤️🔝🎼👏👏 Igor Krutoy said “It was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way” The gentleman playing the Kobyz is master Olzhas Qurmanbeck, the best player in Kazakhstan 🎻🔝 The Kobyz is the first stringed instrument ever. Kobyz is an ancient tool of the Kazakh people. It was used in ancient times by steppe shamans-healers for various rites. Kobyzy is made from a single piece of wood. This is one of the oldest ways of making musical instruments in the history of mankind. It is not due to technical backwardness or the lack of metal devices. According to the ancient beliefs of many people, only in a single piece will the living singing soul of the tree remain, which will sound in the instrument. Стоит отметить один важный факт. Димаш единственный в мире вокалист который не просто имеет широкий вокальный диапазон, но и использует этот диапазон в полной мере. Есть много певцов с широким диапазоном, но у них он просто для галочки, хоть и полный диапазон у них шиирокий, но рабочий диапазон таких певцов крайне маленький, контролировать весь диапазон очень сложно и просто ударять по нотам это не пение. Димаш имеет более 7 октав диапазона, и этот диапазон рабочий, он не только достигает этих нот, он их контролирует и поет. Даже самая высокая нота Димаша D8 в свистковом регистре, контролировалась, и имела вибрато. Запредельный уровень вокального мастерства, и выносливости. Даже ноты в 3 октаве у Димаша очень чистые, очень аккуратно и ровно звучит.

Every one of his songs is unique and will leave you speachless... You have to also react to SOS, Opera 2, Daybreak (Bastau version), Adagio (Singer version), Sinful Passion, Vocalize (and then Know), Ikanaide, Ogni Pietra, Ave Maria, Across Endless Dimensions and of course The Diva Dance (Bastau version). If you want to listen to someone that sings beyond the piano notes, try Unforgettable Day (Gakku version). If you like mainstream, try Fly Away, Be With Me and Screaming... Yes Kobyz but its from Kazakhstan as Dimash is a very proud Kazakh, nothing here is middle eastern more Central Asian. Yes he can sing all the notes, all the octave and all the genres. Dimash is a most highly educated musician up to his present PhD studies. Only 28 years old he was 27 here, and he has been on stage for 23 years, professionally for the last 12 years since he was 16. Winner of so many prestigious international vocal contests there is no space here to list them. From an amazingly musical family and all his friends are musicians. He is well known in the music industry with offers of collaborations worldwide from people such as Hans Zimmer. Dimashis a superstar with innumerable fans worldwide and fanclubs in every continent. He prefers live solo concerts where he can be with his Dears, as his fans are called because we are his family and are very Dear to him. His stadium concerts are epic and he is a rockstar 💖

I think Central Asia is just lost in perception of people outside the region. You say Asia, and people can only remember China, Japan, Korea, not even India or Russia, less so any other Asian countries. But Dimash made the region known to the entire world.

👋☺️ Janet! Hans Zimmer likes to work with a wonderful cellist, Tina Guo.... She's a superb classical cellist, but she also does all kinds of projects and experiments with different styles, she's even done some heavy metal stuff where she gets pretty wild, she has a great stage presence too - I could see Dimash doing a Hans Zimmer video project involving Tina, that would be really cool IMO!! Музыкальные учителя думают , что оценивают Димаша, сами не подозревают , что их оценивает целый мир дорогих со всех стран и континентов. Удивляются если они не знают Димаша, радуются если они от него в восторге. У нас уже есть любимчики из педагогов, вы первый , кто узнал кобыз, не первый , кто услышал в этой песне ритмы Равеля. Wow! I loved your reaction, thank you. Ravel's Bolero is one of my all times favorite from classical music and you know, I never made the connection. Thank you, you're spot on with that observation. I love his versatility, you might think you're prepared and know what to expect in the next song, but he always...I mean always goes beyond expectations. Basically, whenever you see Igor Krutoy at the piano performing with Dimash, it means that he’s the composer of the songs he sings. Welcome to Dimash. He has a 7+ octave range and each is full and rich. He is highly trained from childhood. He has trained every single day of his life. He IS music. The 2 stringed traditional instrument is the Kobyz. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and sings in 14 + languages and multiple genres. He is now 28yrs old. He is 6'3". To me , the music is very ‘Clint Eastwood/Spaghetti Western-like’. This song is very heavy on the Immigration thing. The words reflect that. I have followed Dimash since he expanded on the International scene, on The Singer, in China, in early 2017. Can’t get enough of him.

Welcome to Dimash, the Kazakh 8th Wonder of the World. Tip of the iceberg. Sos from his digital concert 2021 is his calling card. It will be in French. Also, his latest MV, The Story of One Sky, while 12 minutes long and very intense has a very strong message. He composed the music, wrote the script, and played the major role. You will see more of his range and what he can do with that voice. Most talented artist I have ever had the pleasure of hearing and since finding him in 2017, I can tell you I listen to Dimash every day. Add the fact that he is a very humble, beautiful young man who is so respectful and honoring of his fans, family, country etc and you have a true gem.

Happy to see you experience Dimash. Your channel is about to be bombarded. For future reference,you'll always want to look for English subtitles with his video's. He performs in multiple languages. He also performs many songs that have very deep messages,lots of feelings,lyrics are important. Dimash got his big break on The Singer 2017. This was a competition program in China. The performances from that program are a good starter. English subtitles are available. Opera 2 from this program is great. Look for the video that is captioned Dimash sings Opera 2 not knowing dad is in the audience. It was posted by Irises in The Sun. Sorry I don't know how to do the link thingy. His youtube channel contains other live performances, official music videos,etc. He is well known for never performing a song the same way twice. So you can watch him perform a song at a venue,watch the same song at another venue,then turn around and watch the MV of that song and all the performances are different. He loves to add special treats(as I call them)to each version of a song. His MVs are fantastic. They are nothing like the regular MVs that other artist put out. Hope to see more Dimash from you.

No es sólo su rango vocal lo increíble sino la manera como lo usa, la belleza de su voz, impecable, inigualable, y su maestría al interpretar todas sus canciones. Sus Dears no logramos acostumbrarnos a lo que nos hace sentir al cantar. Su voz se adueña de tu mente y corazón, y nunca es suficiente. Gracias por tu reacción que disfruté mucho.
