That's the majority of the Honda community though what are you gonna do 🤷 I rarely see a clean "professional" looking one and it's honestly sad but that's just how it is

It's not always about being light! Its about cubic inches and how much power you can put to the ground. 7 sec Honda's don't impress me, sorry. But a 1500 hp 5.0 beast does, and will every time!! Weather it wins every time or not. It's just so much more cooler ,and much more worth modding and racing over some 2 liter. Oh look at how fast my little 1.5 liter boosted import does!! Its the clutch its the clutch its the clutch...it is NOT the mt82...agIn its the clutch. The first thing a coyote owner should do is throw in a twin disc. If you wanna race it anyways and shift at redline because if you dont do this you will be just like in this video getting locked out. I see guys modding these cars and having shifting problems the whole time like dude fix the issue...throw a clutch in it, put in some better fluid and install an mgw race spec shifter that does away with the remote shifter bs and your mt82 shifting issues are bye bye im gonna get one of these cars next year to do an all motor drag oriented type build with an s197 5.0 and the goal is 10s on motor with a manual (tough but an acheivable goal) the first mod im gonna do is a clutch so i can actually shift gears like i can (like a boss) and actually use the car as intended.

I drive a 08 FA5 Civic Si like your friends, but with all bolt ons, with a sick tune in it, fully built transmission and just raced a 3.7L Mustang the other day for fun. Guy really wanted to race, stalked me at my car when I came out the store. He got smoked, from a dig, rolling start, head start, didn't matter. Only time he swore he got me, is when I let off for the red light, and he kept going. Can't wait to go turbo!

I completely totaled my Honda Accord from a bald tire 2 months ago hitting a concrete barrier and bouncing into oncoming traffic. No joke don't ride on tires in that condition. I am finally able to do do very basic exercises from fracturing my sternum. I was in a pain I would not want to live with again. But glad to see that Civic kicking some Mustang ass

I think when the 3rd body switches from the civic to the stang it really set the results in stone. When there was 3 ppl in the civic and 2 in the stang it was closer. Not sure how much you weigh but every 100 pounds is worth about a car length.

I got my first honda civic in 2014 -- I got an 09 civic because the digital speedometer makes you feel like your in a spaceship. I picked up a 2017 civic coupe turbo in april and I still get a spaceship vibe from the speedometer and tacometer except I'm getting at least 2 seconds faster 0-60 now. Added a little more boost and it seems to run around 6.5ish 0-60. Once I put it in economy mode, which is rare, the driving dynamics feel just like my older civic. I want to add more mods so I can add more boost

Just started learning manual so I had to ask, how does someone miss a gear when shifting? Wouldn't that be hard to do since you always shift sequentially

When shifting fast a lot of people tend to shift the shift lever before completely depressing the clutch. They end up either grinding or missing the gate, once that happens, you just let the shift go to avoid damage. Most likely both cars have stock clutches that require longer travel before changing gears.

car_guy 1000 they're the ones comparing them. stock vs stock is a 430hp muscle car vs a 150hp economy grocery getter. We have nothing to prove. It's Honda fanboys that try to pretend their shit is a race car and that VTEC is like 20psi kicking in. Put the same amount of boost through the coyote and see what happens. Probably would but it in the 650whp range
