And I didn't know any better because I always do QCF and it still comes out lol. And you're also right about OTGing hard knockdowns. Thanks for the kind words! The magic series is essentially (on ground and in air) LP LK LP LK and then either HP or HK for the final hit. This is true for a large portion of the cast. Some characters don't have this exact combo, so you have to experiment with them a bit. One thing I will say is that the magic series is hardly ever used by experienced players because it's not optimal damage and there are other combos that set up for continued pressure, etc. So practicing magic series is good for practice, but you'll eventually start learning new, better stuff. :)

Hey Dopey! I believe you mean DHC. If so, the steps are: start the super with your point character, and during the super, input half circle forward and both kick or punch buttons OR half circle backward and both kick or punch buttons. As an example: with storm, do QCB and both kick buttons to Hail Storm. During her super, press HCF and both kick buttons to DHC into Sentinel's Hyper Sentinel Force. If I instead you do HCF and both punch buttons, you would DHC into Sentinel doing the Plasma Storm (bubble super). Let me know if that helps!

Honestly, I'm not from the arcade era myself, and I barely started using a fight stick a year and one month ago, so I'm not sure that I'd be the best person to give advice on best practices for fightstick usage. However, what I will say is that - ultimately, it's best to do whatever feels most natural and comfortable to you. And if you ever feel like your execution is impacted because of something you might be doing wrong in terms of hand placement/pressing buttons with certain fingers, it doesn't hurt to ask specific questions to other more experienced players regarding how they press buttons and do stick motions. This is a good video idea though, and I will keep it in mind for the future! Appreciate you watching and commenting. :)

For the wave dash, maybe practice doing it slow first. Make sure you're pressing down at the right time and make sure you're pressing both punch buttons at the same time. For the TK motion, make sure you're ending the motion with up forward. Also try doing it on both sides. I'm better at doing it on the left side than on the right side. It'll take some time to get used to the motion.

Hey Napoleon! Yes, you're right. To tag in assist 1, you press LP & LK simultaneously. To tag in assist 2, you press HP & HK simultaneously. In terms of tips for playing on an Android emulator, the only thing I can think of is (if possible) play on a controller or fightstick. I imagine that if you're pressing on the screen, it might be rather difficult to do things. Other than that, I don't have any more tips, sorry! I've never played on Android.

Hey Pestigirioso! Yes, you're mostly right. The "Magic series" combo is done by pressing LP, LK, LP, LK in succession, and then ending the combo with either HP or HK (the final hit will knock the opponent to the ground). Pressing LP, LK, LP, LK in an air combo automatically turns the combo into LP, LK, MP, MK for you. Hope that makes sense and thank you for the feedback! :)

Yo! If you're playing this on Fightcade, you won't have a training mode. I currently use NullDC Bear to access training mode, as you can navigate through the main menu on that emulator.

The high punch/kick is basically ur 2nd button bro. And the 1st button goes into the 2nd button on the 2nd hit. It goes light punch to medium punch in the same button & then the 2nd button is ur high punch/kick bcuz the 3rd button is the assist button. It can get confusing but after a lil time playing it, u will get it 👍💯 MvC2 is the GOAT fighting game of all time real talk 💯💯💯

Hey John! Sounds like you might be pressing the wrong buttons. To do a THC you press both assist buttons at the same time. So not LP, HP, LK or HK. It's assist 1 and assist 2 at the same time (I believe they're usually the bumper or trigger buttons on controller). Hope that helps!

What up Coco! This actually depends on which characters you have next in line. But as an example: if Cable is my point character and I input QCF + LP & HP, Cable will do his Hyper Viper Beam. If the next character in line is Sentinel, I would cancel the HVB by deciding which of Sentinel's hyper combo's you want to cancel into and do it's respective input. So for example: if I input QCF + LK & HK (during the HVB), Sentinel will come in doing his Hyper Sentinel Force. However, If I instead press QCF + LP & HP (during HVB), Sentinel will instead come out doing his Plasma Storm. NOTE: You can't choose which of your characters to DHC into. It's ALWAYS the character that's next in line according to the order that their health bars are in. And just for an added bit of information, you CAN choose the order of which character to ALPHA COUNTER in, as that's decided by which assist button you press when inputting the alpha counter input. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions or if I did a bad job at explaining! lol

It'll take me a while to learn everything, but the more I learn the easier it gets to understand. I do have some other questions. I was looking at the combos for Morrigan and one was "LP, MP XX SHB". I understand everything except SHB, do you know what that could be? Also is there a team you'd recommend? I like playing weird characters more than broken ones but I'll probably use Cable at least.

@@coco_rthritis6462 ​ @CocoRthritis I think SHB might be her Silhouette Blade super, which can be down with dragon punch motion + both punch buttons. I did try the combo you mentioned above and it all connects with her Silhouette Blade super. As far as characters I'd recommend, I pretty much only play high tiers so I wouldn't be the best person to recommend low/mid/weird characters. What I'll say is that the best characters are Mag, Storm, Sent, Cable, Iron Man. Doctor Doom has pretty good keep away tools and has an amazing assist. Captain Commando has the best assist in the game but really sucks as a point character. Psylocke is a really good character and has the 2nd best assist in the game. Cyclops is pretty good and has a pretty solid assist. Pick Blackheart if you want everyone to hate you lol. (not really but kinda)

The majority of the cast can do lp lk lp lk (aka the magic series) as an air combo. That's super basic though!

What up Clayface. Alpha counters are done with QCF bro, not back down back down. That's a tech roll. But yes, as a half circle accomplishes the same motion of a quarter circle, I could've said half circle, however I'm trying to share the literal motion that's needed. And yea, I did say you can't OTG hard knockdowns. I definitely should've specified that you can't OTG hard knockdowns when a flying screen forces the character doing the combo to come in from off screen. It IS possible to OTG hard knockdowns in some situations. (magneto 5 fierce for example)

@@FilthGnasty An Alpha counter is done by doing the motion "Back, Back/Down, Down", If you don't believe me then try it for yourself, if you block and try to do QCF+A1 or A2 nothing happens, why you're getting it in your video is because you're doing the HCF motion which has the first portion of the alpha counter input.

@@DjClayface interesting, I'll test it out tomorrow. I did verify this info using the MvC2 wiki before I made the video, and the wiki is typically a reliable source for this kind of stuff. I appreciate the info!

I agree with what you're saying. By saying that your "turn is over", I'm referring to the fact that you have done a move that's negative on block, for example, and now the opponent has the ability to take advantage of that opening, as you put it. I think you're just taking it the wrong way.
