My 5 month humira/adalimumab review

Күн бұрынI was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called psoriatic arthritis in April 2023 and have been taking methotrexate since May 2023. 5 months ago I had my first humira/adalimumab injection and have now taken roughly 10 shots in total. The methotrxate helped a bit but with the new medication I'm pretty much in remission. I wanted to document and share my experience so people can get a real life non biased view of my journey and I hope it gives people some hope because with the help of medication I feel I've got my life back.

Great video mate, Humira changed my life as well, I love hearing from people going through a similar positive experience. I was completely wrecked from arthritis, humira gave me my life back and stopped me from dreading doing simple things. Keep posting your updates, great to see.

@@liftingoutofthelows1341 Been on it six months, gave me my life back. Before, I could hardly walk, every movement was agony. Now I'm in the gym 4x a week and doing yoga on the other days. Even learning to play guitar now can move my hands again. Good luck to you mate.

Hello Thank you so much for doing the video, I have also been suffering from inflammatory arthritis for the past 6 months, I still have difficulties walking and have only just started Methotrexate through the NHS I have a follow up appointment in 12 weeks but it is with a Nurse instead of a rheumatologist is that normal in the NHS? I am not sure how the system works, and I am really hoping Methotrexate will work

I was seeing a nurse every 6 weeks or so once I started the MTX and then the rheumatologist every 6 months. The nurses will monitor you and the rheumatologist will make the decisions in regards to your medication. That was what happened in my case any way. I hope that helps and I wish you well

You can’t order it in the UK you have to be approved by the NHS to be prescribed it

@@liftingoutofthelows1341 thanks IL consult my rheumatologist then. Am on methotrexate but like you said it brings you from level 10 pain to 6. Still have difficulty doing daily things. It's been over 2 years now
