Sweet Angel !! Basset Love is something very special. My son had Gracie for 12 years of total Love. She died 3 years ago and at 35 years old he and I (62) still cry when we think too long about her.

My Bassett would dance around like that and then step in his bowl, flipping it all over the floor. His way of saying grace. A wonderful dog.

I have a thirteen yo terrier. Lays around like she is dead most of the day. Feeding time she acts like a puppy, excited and playing with a squeaky toy. Lol Vincent is adorable!!

@@mayhemjr.803 Yes they were. They looked so much alike it was shocking. Unfortunately, Petunia only lived to be 6 months old. She drowned in our pool. I didn’t know that few basset hounds could swim. Rappunzel was a good swimmer. They were wonderful dogs. After Petunia died (we sold the house and no longer have a pool) I got Peanut and Oreo together. They were bassets again and came from the same litter. They were perfect dogs too. Basset hounds are perfection.

No, no, he does this BEFORE he eats! He gets very excited about his dinner! After his meal he tracks me down and demands acknowledgment that he has eaten. He likes to hear "Did you eat all of your food? Good boy!", as if he wouldn't eat all of his food!

We just got two one that looks like Haley; very hyper always busy, and Daisy chews on everything. We have Duke. He is Red very long ears, who is as Mello as a snail. He is lazy. He is just like our old Bassett Hound Yogi. Is Haley a female or male? I wanted lazy, and I got both. Do you think Daisy will chill out when we get her fixed? Thanks for your time.
